gate. >> she gave him $40. he ripped a crucifix off her neck as well. no bail for the man accused of murdering an imam in queens. no word on a possible modive. valerie cast -- motive. valerie castro spoke to the bicyclist who helped catch him. walks with a cane after a car hit him. the hit and run happened less than a mile away from a murder scene where an imam and his close friend and assistant were gunned down. this video shows the car clip the back tire on hunter's bicycle, throwing him to the ground minutes after those murders.

police say building their case against them for the murder has been their priority. there's been yet another incident of children getting injured on an amusement park ride. six kids suffered electrical shock on the scrambler at ocean beach park in new london, connecticut this afternoon. one child was burned when he touched a bar leaving the ride. all the injuries are minor. at least 11 people are dead in louisiana afte flooding in the state's history. at least 40,000 homes were damaged in the disaster. more than 60,000 people have registered for aid from fema. in the meantime, since friday, more than 30,000 people have been rescued and 8,000 have been forced to stay in shelters. john mclauchlin died today.

a frightening attack at a long island auto shop. a fired mechanic walked into his former workplace and started shooting. the attack came without warning. after christopher hicks was let go, he picked up a muffler and smashed it through the rear window of a car he was working on. he ran to his own car and came back with a loaded resolver. cameras show him pulling the trigger, barely missing a former coworker's

laguardia, 91. both of those spots now have their sixth straight day of 90-plus heat. so the heat wave continues for you. take a look at radar picture. vortex satellite and radar showing out goes one big system, now a break for everybody. and we're just starting to see another line make its way in. and we'd like to track the front end of this system, into new york city. and i think this is sometime between 2:00, 3:00 in the morning f. that holds itself together, metro area, west of new york city, earlier than that. and the bigger, broader picture, you want to look at how the air is flowing. the reason we're not catching any relief humidity-wise, that one storm pushed through, but we still have a southwest flow with our atmosphere. and once you get this second band moving through,

humidity will be once can you tap into a true northerly wind. and that's not gonna be until you get way out here by some of this air mass around the pacific northwest. we have to wait sometime for true relief. it gets better each and every day. that's the big relief. the second babd coming through. this is really showing it intensifying. it may not be that strong. then you get to your day, on wednesday it looks pretty good, wednesday into thursday night, could have for your day tomorrow, 87 degrees. it's hot, one again, you're above average. it's less humid tomorrow. hopefully maybe you can feel that. you'll eventually feel it as it gets better down the road. and the really good stuff is waiting next week like on tuesday when it's about 82 degrees, sunshine, low humidity and clear skies. the weekend, 89 saturday, 86 sunday. and sunday comes with a storm risk. >> all through the month.

brandon marshall excused for a couple of days. disciplinary. and wilkerson was on the field taking part in team drills for the first time. he said he's gonna be ready by week 1. matt forte says he will be absolutely ready by week 1 as well. first time he's practiced two days in a row nursing that hamstring injury. mainly worked out with the strength and conditioning coaches. it's the team that made forte slow down.
