bridge.it was slow most of the afternoon after a crash closed the southbound lanes near the warren and clinton county lines.and even though the snow has moved on -- the cold is still here -- and that could cause problems tonight.let's go to 9 first warning meteorologist steve raleigh for a breakdown. a winter weather advisory is out for most of the tri-state until 7 p.m. for slick road conditions that will exist. snow showers are likely during the morning hours and then snow starts to taper off after lunchtime. 1-2" of snow is still expected. flurries should continue into the evening drive and highs top out at 260f today. heading into the evening, skies will gradually clear as high pressure takes over. partly cloudy skies and fresh snow will allow the temps to drop back into the teens tonight. thursday will be a quiet day with partly sunny skies with high in the low to mid 30s. the 9 first warning weather team continues to track a system on friday that is now coming more into focus. at this point, this could be 2-4" snowfall around greater cincinnati to a 3-5" snow in northern kentucky. but, it's highly dependent on the track of the snowmaker. the situation is likely going to change again before friday so please come back for more

that's because the report found millennials typically don't register to vote or participate in elections as often as older adults. potential hispanic voters are also becoming better educated. the report found those with a bachelor's degree or higher has increased from seven percent in the last fifteen years.and the number of high school dropouts has fallen. a lot of those new eligible voters are in presidential swing states that could help decide the election. election.the pew research center says hispanics will account for 18 percent of eligible voters in florida. and just over 14 percent of eligible voters in colorado. but the report also found hispanics and asians continue to have the lowest voter turnouts. many voters are african- american.... with only about 64 percent of eligible white voters actually showing up. snow blankets the ground right nowbut what will it mean for us tonight? tonight?steve is tweaking his 9 first warning weather

the snow has stopped for now.. but the work being done to clear it has not.right now road crews are working on area roads and many of us are pulling out our shovels for the first time this winter. winter.jordan burgess looks at how the tri-state is handling all the snow. people across the tri-state spent the day digging out. first it was from traffic jams from the snow itself. itself. it didn't take long for the first few flakes to coat area roadways.but soon it was cars covering the interstates like 74 where traffic slowed to a crawl for commuters trying to get into the city.road crews worked to scrape and salt the interstates and ramps like this one.once the snow stopped.. it didn't take long before they got things clear. but they weren't the only ones with a lot of snow to brush off. off. trust me this is a saleman's worst nightmare. they don't like coming to work today. but

the insurance institute for highway safety is out with its list of the safetest cars for 20-16.so here are some for about 20-thousand dollars or less.in the minicars category -- the scion i-a.you can get this for around 17-thousand bucks.for smaller cars -- the honda civic which starts around 18-thousand.and in the small s-u-v cateogry -- the mazda c-x-5 for around 21- thousand dollars.they had the highest ratings in crash tests and preventing crashes. it's a staple in many of our lives - our drivers license.so why is there a growing trend amoung millenials to ditch drivers licenses more now than ever?the now's candice aviles is breaking down a new study ti find out why. molly grooms - "the second i turned 15 i was in drivers ed because i wanted my license." the memory is still fresh for many people.getting their first drivers license.katy brown - "being in the car

and try to carjack a woman.she locked herself inside her car. they then focus on another vehicle.both manage to get inside before the mother pulls the suspect in the driver's seat out and rips the ski mask off his face! :29 (carl zogby/ hialeah police dept.) "she was a mom and what that bad guy didn't know in the backseat of that car, were two kids and she wasn't going to let them be taken. so she fought, she dragged the guy out of the car and they both ran away like cowards." cowards."those two men eventually got away with a third suspect.all of them were arrested after a chase with police.they've been ordered to stay away from that mother if they manage to post bond which was set at 25 thousand dollars. actress jamie lynn sigler has confessed that she's battling multiple sclerosis and has been for nearly 15 years.m.s. attacks the central nervous system.the 34 year old has told people magazine that she can't walk for long periods of time and has to think about every step she takes.sigler says she has been managing her condition with medication but

reveal her struggle until now. sigler recently married and has a two year old son.sigler played tony soprano's daughter in the hit h-b-o mob drama "the sopranos." how's this for news on a cold day ...worldwide ... 20-15 was the hottest year in recorded history.by a long shot. that's according to scientists at both noaa and nasa... which have been tracking average temperatures for 136 years. temperatures were 20 percent higher than the previous hottest year on record ... 20- 14.experts say the record- breaking heat was fueled in part by one of the strongest el ninos ever on record. this right here...the result of severe weather and heavy rain in california where a rockslide forced the closure of a road near yosemite park. the highway was closed for a 10-mile stretch in both directions.thankfully...no cars were hit by the rocks...but the road blockage did cause a minor accident. local crews worked throughout the afternoon to move the big boulders and debris.
