since 2003.this child porn investigation dates back to 20-14 according to covington police. marshall was arrested at noon today.hes in kenton county jail right now -- after a grand jury indicted him in 36 counts of possession of matter portraying sexual performance by a minor.covington police say thr material was found on marshalls home computer jeff briggs has appointed steve johnson as acting director of campus safety as of today. rob marshall has been placed on administrative leave. a representative here also tells me the school just found out about the investigation today.talking to police right now - more at 5.live in

breaking news today connected to the armed militia standoff in oregon.it's been going on for nearly a month now. this afternoon... state and federal authorities urged the people still holed up inside this u-s wildlife refuge building... to abandon their protest and give up. up.it comes after police shot and killed one of the protesters... lavoy finicum... last night... and injured one of the leaders... ryan bundy they arrested four others... including bundy's brother... ammon.the group was on its way to a community meeting when police pulled them over.we still don't know who fired first... or just what happened. but the bundy ranch claims on social media that finicum had his hands up when he was shot three times.the stand-off at the refuge began 26 days ago... over a land dispute. occupiers claim the federal government had illegally taken land that ranchers had owned for decades. they're also

bundy is in custody by police. the roads are on lockdown out to the john day meeting. reports of shots fired and the report that we're getting right now is that two people have been shot."officials confirm one of those people later died. protesters identifying the man as lavoy finicum.the other shooting victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.as for pete santilli and the others arrested-- they all face a felony charge of conspiracy to impede u-s officers through the use of force or threat. those arrested have been released.tanya? the heroin epidemic has reached crisis levels. that's accoding to u-s senator rob portman who testified before a judiciary committee in washington this morning. the republican senator from ohio pushed for a vote on his bill to address the problem. he says the legislation is comprehensive-- and focuses on two kinds of drug addicts: those who were first addicted to prescription pain killers-- then moved onto harder drugs like heroin... as well as first time drug abusers who started with heroin. 01:28:55 and i think now that heroin is so plentful, and i was just with the fbi in ohio talking about it yesterday, the drug cartels from mexico are in ohio, theyre in illionois, theyre in our states. because it's so plentiful,because it's so cheap, its not just about prescription drugs anymore. it has been a gateway for a lot of people, but now there is a problem we have directly with heroin, even with first use.

two faced. in a release from the democratic senatorial campaign committee, the group says portman voted in favor of a budget last year, that threatened major cuts to substance abuse programs. some hamilton residents will go without water for a few hours on friday as the city works to fix a storm sewer that collapsed. collapsed.a portion of the sewer collapsed underground along eden park drive sometime in the last few weeks.since the water line is near the sewer line officials will turn off the water so they can make possible.there will be two areas that will go without water: a condo complex called waterside and gunn eden... and the eden roc professional offices.we'll learn more about the cause of the collapse when officials make repairs. when water is turned back on, residents will be advised to boil their water for a day or two just to be on the safe side. turning to weather -- a pretty january like day.not a lot of sunshine.but its not all bad. more clouds are back for thursday, as two quick moving features swing through the

"abigail the manatee" was one of the four creatures released back into the wild ... as part of a conservation effort.abigail was rescued from cold river waters almost three years ago in florida ... and sent to our cincinnati zoo for rehabilitation.the 600 pound girl recovered with lots of care ... and in 2015 returned to florida to start the transition back to the wild... and yesterday she was released. the now cincinnati reached out to cincinnati zoo director thane maynard ... he tells us, quote, "naturally all of us at the cincinnati zoo are excited at the news of the successful release of abigail the florida manatee..."maynard says abigail is the 14th manatee rehabilitated at the manatee
