races may be overshadowing another local race.we're talking about the race to fill the seat of retired house speaker john boehner.there are 17 candidates... and 15 of them will be taking part in a forum tonight-- at the parrish auditorium on the miami university hamilton campus. it will begin at 6:30. this is from a forum a few weeks ago.again, the 8th congressional seat. boehner held the seat for nearly 25 years.voters will actually be voting twice for this seat.. on march 15th. one vote for the candidate to finish boehner's term this year. and another vote for the candidate to take over --- or maintain the seat next year. the winner of the special election primary will face a democrat and green party candidate in the june 7th special election and the winner of the general election primary will face those same candidates in november. there's a new partnership aimed at helping inmates return to the workforce once

warren county jail, 'ohio means jobs' and the warren county educational service center are all coming together to get soon-to-be released inmates the skills they need to succeed on the outside.the inmates have to meet certain criteria for participation in the program. a big ruling today from the supreme court, upholding same-sex adoptions. the case at the center of the debate involved an alabama woman. she sued after alabama refused to recoginze the adoption she and her then- partner were granted in georgia. georgia.the supreme court ruled that one state cannot ignore the judgment of another state simply because it disagrees with the reasoning. the case was considered another legal test about whether gays and lesbians should be granted adoption rights. the now cincinnati checked in with the l-g-b-t legal organization 'lambda legal' to see what this could mean for same-sex adoption in ohio. ohio.according to the group's website ...in ohio, unmarried adults who identify as gay *can adopt children.if a person is married ... the spouse must generally join the petition to adopt the child. gay and lesbian parents who

health and recovering from the surgery according to doctors. it took a team of surgeons about 9-hours to complete the uterus transplant. doctors say this type of surgery brings hope for women and families who want to experience pregnancy. new statistics show one in 45- thousand girls are born without a uterus. doctors at the clinic worked with international researchers on uterus transplants to better understand the procedure and plan for ethical issues to minimize risks. the organ came from a deceased donor. dr. tommaso falcone, cleveland clinic: "we went this way first, but we feel like with time we'll come with with surgecial technology to do it with a living related donor, but that goal is still a couple of years away." away." a team of doctors screened and evaluated more than 250 women for the study... and then selected 10 who will ultimately have the transplants. lena dunham announced
