his legs are badly broken but he is expected to survive. j.c.: there have been more mass shootings in days this year, it depends on which statistics you look at and where they are coming from. the federal government defines a mass shooting as three or more people killed in a single incident. the fbi defines them as when a shooter is actively engaged in killing or attempting to kill people in a confined or populated area, like a school or campus. under that criteria, fbi statistics shows 160 incidents between 2000 and 2013. 486 people were killed. information found on websites like shooting tracker.comoften indicates higher numbers because they include fatal and non-fatal gunfire during things like barroom disputes and drive-by shootings. a former roman catholic priest who spent more than a decade behind bars for raping an altar boy will soon be set free. prosecutors withdrew a request to have ronald paquin civilly committed indefinitely as a sexually dangerous person. neither expert who examined
