antoinette: this morning, two women are taking on the company, accusing uber of neglect and fraud after they were allegedly sexually assaulted by drivers. the lawsuit involves two different cases. one in boston back in february, where a driver was charged with indecent assault after allegedly taking off with a woman, taking her offer route and attacking her. the other incident happened in south carolina with similar allegations. the lawsuit calls on uber to mandate tamperproof video cameras in cars and give customers the option of choosing a female driver and mandate fingerprint-based background checks. uber has issued a statement saying its thoughts are with the victims in these cases.

antoinette antonio, wcvb newscenter five. >> a quartet is made up of four tunisian nations that participated in the arab spring movement. erika: investigators are trying to figure out what caused the fire that heavily damaged a popular brockton business. the flames broke out at the sunset cafe around 7:00 last night. one firefighter was injured in a fall during the fire but he' s expected to be ok. local leaders including the mayor said the cafe had done a lot to revitalize that brockton neighborhood. right now there is new legal trouble at the trial of a teenager accused of killing his teacher. emily: the eye' s frank holland is live in salem with the juror who may have said too much. frank: a danvers man known as juror 39 could face contempt and perjury charges. juror 39 admitted to salem

he violated an order barring any discussion about the case against phillip chism. the now 16-year-old from danvers is accused of killing his math teacher colleen ritzer in 2013. the parent told the judge he made several statements to other potential jurors including, i' m from danvers and that' s probably why i won' t get picked and i was at danvers high school that tragic day. it' s wrong for me to be on this jury. juror 39 could not remember if he also told other potential jurors he attended a candle light vigil for ritzer last year. juror 39 was excused earlier, partly because of his connection to the case. the judge has selected 12 of the 18 jurors needed for the trial. the defense argues all should now be dismissed. the judge says he' ll make that decision after reading a transcript of what other jurors say they were told. a new pool of potential jurors will arrive at the courthouse today. emily: right now police are looking for a man and a woman seen leaving the scene of a stabbing on boston common. punches were thrown outside the park street t station before

someone pulled out a knife and the fight turned bloody. the man received multiple stab wounds described as not life-threatening. police say the attack was not random. investigators say this fast-moving fire at an oxford lumber yard was an accident. the fire chief says wednesday night' s flames started near a make-shift kiln used to dry lumber. the telegram reports that kiln was built out of an old oil tank which was not maintained and left unattended. the business owner says his son noticed the smoke and was on scene all night helping deal with the fire and its aftermath. erika: this morning former crew members are raising new concerns about the cargo ship lost at sea during hurricane joaquin. they say the el faro had some rooms that were constantly leaking and the drainage didn' t work on the ship. ship denies those claims saying the vessel was well-maintained. meantime, a new mission will be launched to find the ship. the u.s. navy will send special equipment in hopes of locating el faro and its data recorder. that recorder may explain what

the boat where the flames actually started. for some people, those boats were homes. we brought this to you as breaking news yesterday morning. the fire started in a boat called the dry anchor with what witnesses describe as two big explosions. an abington woman on board barely escaped with her life. >> she came out of her bedroom and smelled and saw smoke. shield to my dad. the smoke got worse. she was scared to go from one side to the other because she was afraid of what would happen. he went back, held her hand, pulled her back through. >> there were eleven boats involved in all. emily: a k-9 sniffs out a large amount of marijuana being smuggled though logan airport. take a look this is zeva, posing with the 100-pounds of pot she sniffed out. troopers had been alerted that a san francisco-boston delta passenger was carrying a large amount of marijuana. it had been stored in heat-sealed plastic wrap.
