5:12 am
cindy: hard to top perfection. however, we're going to try today. if you liked yesterday you'll love today. we have one more beautiful day coming up. temperatures a few degrees warmer than it was yesterday afternoon. enjoy today. we've got clouds. maybe a shower in the forecast tomorrow. and then it will turn much cooler by the upcoming weekend. now take a look at the jetstream. it is running right now to our north. that has put us in warm air. so temperatures running above the average. but look at the changes coming. as we get into the late week and weekend time period. a dip in the jetstream is going to bring in much cooler air. so you're going to notice in your seven-day forecast a big drop in the temperatures by the upcoming weekend. we're running in the lower 50's in boston. we have definitely cooler spots in the suburbs here. worcester is 52 degrees this morning. and notice some cool pockets to the south. norwood 38. taunton 49. lower 50's out the door on the cape this morning.

just a patch or two of fog. it will burn off very quickly. we're in great shape today. notice to the south, this is where we are warming our closest area of rain. unfortunately more rain for the carolinas over the weekend. and this is something we'll be watching for tomorrow. this is going to race by to our east. we have a front off to the west. together going to gang up on us tomorrow. high pressure today keeping us nice and pleasant. sunshine pretty much all day long. cool by 8:00 a.m. we're in the lower 50's. by lunchtime 70 degrees. the lower 70's still by 5:00. just a few clouds around. look at these high temperatures. average high is 63 in boston. we're going for 75. 7 worcester. as warm as 77 nashua to lawrence. even taunton 74. cool spot today with that southwesterly wind down along the south coast and the cape where it will only be near 70 degrees by this afternoon. tonight though clouds are going to start to creep on in. by tomorrow morning this is what you're waking up to. lots of clouds. one or two spot showers around. temperatures overnight with more clouds in place going to be running in the upper 40's to mid 50's.
5:14 am
tomorrow still a warm day. lots of lower 70's out there. but again we're talking about more clouds tomorrow and just a couple of showers moving on in. it's really our best chance of seeing showers in the next few days. during the morning hours, i think the best chance is here in southeastern massachusetts. then we'll watch that cold front approach from the west. but as it does so, a lot of the shower activity is drying up. we're not talking about widespread rain. just the threat of a shower moving through during the afternoon. and then the skies clear out. back to sunshine on wednesday but it will be cooler. and then lots of sunshine on thursday but only around 60 degrees. a more potent front is coming in on friday. with that showers around and behind it likely the coldest air we have seen in the season so far. with that frost is likely by sunday morning and high temperatures on sunday likely not even touching 50 degrees so much colder air is working in. olessa: i'm not ready to hear frost. cindy: but today will be so beautiful. olessa: we should focus on that. i'll do it every second. thank you, cindy. morning.
