found dead in a hidden crawlspace in her home. police believe she is the victim of a murder-suicide involving her roommate. phil: let's go to rhondella richardson who is live in manchester with the disturbing discovery. reporter: the victim's daughter-in-law left visibly upset and standing here earlier you can hear the sound of power tools as investigators went through the house after a body was intentionally concealed in a false wall. the missing woman's family yesterday reported a strange odor inside this manchester home prompting investigators to return to sue hutchinson's house last fight. >> we then did another extensive search of the house which we did previously. however, we located a hidden crawlspace that was walled off to prevent us from finding sue's remains the initial time we searched the apart meant. reporter: 57-year-old sue hutchinson disappeared three

her roommate hadn't been seen for about the same amount of time, but police found him dead last week in a motel 6. he shot himself in the head. investigators believe he killed her before taking his own life. >> it is possible she was killed somewhere else and then hidden in the apartment. we think it is more likely she reporter: watching manchester's missing woman case turn into a murder unsettling for neighbors. >> to be found in a crawlspace disturbing. >> real disturbing. it is not surprising though. this is not a nice city anymore. reporter: information on manor and cause of death and the positive identity of the victim expected in the coming autopsy. live in manchester, new hampshire, rhondella richardson, wcvb, newscenter 5. jc: state police are investigating the death of a revere man ever a an altercation with officers.

the state's largest employer has plans to hire more people. >> this is one of the benefits the way it was affecting the transaction. reporter: the blockbuster tech deal between emc and computer giant dell will make it one of the largest i.t. companies in the world. cost reductions in the form of layoffs are not the focus of the $67 billion deal as they will remain one of three company. >> they will start out with $30 billion in revenue and twice as size as the company based here today. reporter: many point out mergers of this size usually do result in job loss. they believe it is only a matter of time before that happens here. >> respectfully corporations say there will not be layoffs when they merge, but usually that's the case. i am concerned how it could affect employees in the hopkins area. reporter: another impact could be on real estate. they are one of the largest

occupiers of commercial space with a million square feet of space in hopkinton and other surrounding communities. growth remains the vision for the future. >> the commitment here we will make sure the business grows and more people will be employed in massachusetts than emc has today. reporter: because of the size and scope of both companies this merger will take some time and be quite complex. it won't be complete until next year. live in hopkinton, wcvb, newscenter 5. phil: actor randy quaid is behind bars being held on $500,000 bail. the kingpin star and his wife who both fled to canada five years ago were brought back to vandalism in california. they were picked up at the canadian border while trying to re-enter the u.s. vandalism charges were filed in 2010 after they were found squating in a guest house they previously owned. quaid said the bails bondsman

undermining democracy. i have to lay that out on the table. jc: it was created after the election to bridge the divide among parties. phil: the republicans have had two rounds and in less than a day it is the democrats' turn. there is a lot of buzz about a possible last-minute entry into the race. las vegas has been the site of many prize fights. it is round one are for the contenders. front and center is hillary clinton and to her right, bernie sanders who is inching up in the polls. it is an opportunity for clinton's rivals to go after her head to head in the issues hurting her in the polls. president obama weighed in the server. >> she made a mistake. she acknowledged it. reporter: looming large is vice president joe biden. sources say the vp will

announce his plans this week. he gave to hint of his plan to reporters. the president said he will let biden make his own decision, but had big praise as the number two. >> i think joe will go down as one of the best vice presidents in history and has done great work. reporter: he will be tuning into tomorrow night's debate, but got in a dig at the democratic field. >> it will be hard to watch. i don't think it will be a very exciting debate. phil: the first two presidential debates had record rate -- ratings. the democrats will get a later start, but with only five candidates on the stage they have more of an opportunity to breakthrough. jc: there will be a two-day meeting in boston today and tomorrow. they are meeting with top officials. they are discussing regional and security challenges and violence and military action in syria and afghanistan are high in that area.

afternoon. closer to home right now, most of us starting with lots of sunshine. not much in the way of clouds. as you look over boston you can see it. it is still warm, 73 degrees. the winds are out of the south at 10 miles an hour. you will feel them as you step morning. it will be on bit on the breezy side at 10 to 20. that southerly wind is a warming wind. as we go through the overnight hours the temperatures drop into the 50s, but it is a mild night overall. we see the increase after midnight and it is going to be increasing from the south and east back to the north and west. your overnight lows look like this. 40s through concord and nashua. mid50s for your overnight lows. as we head toward tomorrow, here's what happens. the clouds increase along the cape and islands.

after midnight we could see some showers as early as the morning commute although they are hit or miss or light in nature. watch what happens as we get closer to midday. yellows and reds here on the map. that's heavier downpours for the south shore as well as the cape and the islands. north and west of boston for the most part you are dry to start the day with some clouds around. more chances of rain will be in the the forecast as you go through the afternoon. the best bet tomorrow morning is in southeastern mass. as we go through the next 12 hours in boston, rain chances really start to increase by evening hours and after lunchtime as the winds gust out of the south and west atton to 20. these are your high temperatures for tomorrow, low 70s and upper 60ss at the cape. it is a mild day yet again. here is the rain coming in. it continues through the evening hours and finally

clears out through the overnight and then colder air works its way in wednesday and even into thursday. in fact, on thursday that jet stream dips to the south. notice the cooler air that ushers in. high temperatures as we head toward next weekend struggle to make it into the 50s by saturday and sunday. overnight lows near freezing if not below. looks like we could see frost and maybe even a widespread freeze come sunday night into early monday. it is warm today, warm tomorrow and then much cooler ahead. phil and jc? phil: thanks. a massive engineering project is under way in china. they are looking for extraterrestrial life. the military space program is constructing the world's largest radio telescope. scientists want to use the 500 meter telescope to explore a planet spotted by nasa in july that may be able to sustain life.
