once again, question is mental competency. the prosecution bluntly accusing the teen of faking symptoms. our pam is live in salem. where does the case stand right now? >> they are at an impasse. the judge is looking for advice from mental health experts after philip chism said he's suicidal and he's hearing voices. >> this is the way we usually see chism, sitting quietly in court. he was behind this wall today after refusing to enter the courtroom. his lawyers want a competency hearing. chism interviewed today by a psychologist, says he wants someone to shoot him. as for his lawyers -- >> he reported that he does not trust his defense council. he refused to herring a voice that says he shouldn't trust his team. >> prosecutors stopped short of calling it all an act saying chism was fine until he started banging his head on tuesday. >> everything that has happened for the last 24 hours is not

we have going on. spectacular out there once again. when you have low humidity like we have and just a few clouds coming in, oh, you just get those great sunsets and that will happen over the next couple of days. as we get dry air moving in, chance of rain on friday is looking less and less each time. the raindrops will evaporate. they are thinning, setting up for the spectacular sunset. overnight, skies will be clearing away. with clear skies the temperatures will drop. boston dropping down to about 45. near the shoreline. into the mid-40s. but inland. this is where we'll see our coldest air. already tonight into the 30s. that's why when we start talking about on monday, the city of dropping dropping into the 30s we'll see some cold stuff off to the west. high temperatures tomorrow will look like this. no real warm spots or cold spots. just typical for this time of year. mid to lower 60s a few upper 50s showing up. and through the south shore, you're seeing 62 degrees in

ducks bury and 62 in attleboro. temperatures at the cape 50s. lots of sunshine. not as breezy as it was this afternoon. when we talk about the next wave of cold air coming in. as each of these weaves come in they shock the atmosphere but you have to have moisture to work with to get rain and it's pretty dry out there right now. we're not adding a whole lot of moisture. a few scattered shower are possible on friday. the big story. the coldest air of the season. this is on friday. and then as we look at saturday there is another disturbance that works through but it's cold enough at that point that as you up on the computer models, yes, that's a little bit of snow showing up. any accumulations but we might see pictures of that on monday as people look at what's going on. >> one thing they don't want this weekend is wind. remember the nor'easter that blew them out back in the 1990s. it will be a breezy weekend this weekend. not too much to cancel it but as far as the regatta is concerned, check out the temperatures, on the cool side and very windy. i think sunday is the windiest of the two days and there we can

miles per hour that means some pretty choppy conditions. here's what's happening over the next seven days. we'll break it down. tomorrow, it's sunshine. maybe a few fair weather clouds in the afternoon but otherwise just delightful out there. friday, i pointing out some showers. let me timeline that out. >> in the morning, at 8:00, still some partly cloudy skies. but there are a few showers that come through late morning into early afternoon and they move out. then they are done w. that's all. that's all we're going to get out of the whole thing. not expecting much at all. on sarts breezy. temperatures are dropping again. and if you look really carefully at these computer models that's where you start to see light snow that kind of wants to show up in the forecast. otherwise it's just a few hit-or-miss showers and most of us will be dry on saturday. dry on sunday and it's chilly. monday morning i think is the coldest of the cold. look at those low temperatures. in the city of boston, 30s but as you look out west we could actually see a few spots that drop into the 20s. this is a short-lived cooling spell that we're talking about. it lasts through the weekend because what happens after that? by next tuesday, we're into the 50s.
