pennsylvania and a nurse at boston children's contacted police after realizing she had just admitted the infant boy. cherry was arrested on a child endangerment warrant out of pennsylvania and several other warrants out of massachusetts. he son is in state custody. tiffany cherry is originally according to her friend. she'll be arraigned monday on warrants out of massachusetts, one of which dates back to 2002. >> commitment 2016 -- the political world still waiting for vice president joe biden to make a decision on a white house run. he had a closely-watched speech tonight but as richard cantu tells us, he is keeping the nation guessing the richard: vice president joe biden was in new york city to receive a humanitarian award.

by a mud slide much the cleanup is underway today to dig out dozens of buried cars in california. it still has part of a busy highway shut down. dee dee roy has the latest on the cleanup. >> crews clearing mud-blocked roads in southern california are racing against the clock and mother nature. saturday morning, construction equipment arriving to aid in of weather hits. >> they're expecting more rain this afternoon and if that happens, then what we're going to do is probably clear all the personnel that are working in the area just in case there's more mudslides. >> it's pretty scary to see the water on -- on both sides and moving and rising very quickly. i was thinking about how i was going to good -- go out the sun roof to get on top of the vehicle. >> thousands remains -- remain stranded after the massive mudslides.

by the way, worcester county will be freezing but once you get a freeze already, we don't issue any more watches or warnings or things like that. if we don't get one here i think we'll be issuing another one in boston tomorrow because temperatures will be dropping as well. in october this time of year we're supposed to be about 61 degrees. these are temperatures more likely for december so we're running way, way below average. tonight after the cloud covers move out, we'll be clear. that's where the temperatures will drop off even more. tomorrow is a sunny day. could be a few clouds during the afternoon. but temperatures tomorrow only 44 to 48 degrees and that northwest wind, a little bit of a bit -- bite to it. you will need a jacket tomorrow. may only be 45 here for a high tomorrow.

are look at highs only in the low 40's. we're starting things here into the 20's tomorrow. south shore, most of the temperatures will be in the 40's. and the cape, wind out of the northwest is pushing the cold air off the water and sweeping it onto the cape. tomorrow night, it clears away and that means cold. if you are headed to the charles regatta tomorrow, it's a delightful day for sunshine but that wind, bring a jacket. there are going to be several thousand people there with you. le northwest erly wind is going to have some impact on the rowers tomorrow. on the shoreline, there are lots of things to keep you busy and keep you warm as well.

i think we'll see the peak colors coming in the next couple days into the city of boston of the let me break it down for you the next couple days. tomorrow as a mentioned, 48 degrees. frost likely monday morning because look at these overnight lows sunday night into monday -- into the 20's. then we head for tuesday. going to be a breezy day but the wind ouvent the south. that's going to help us warm up. the high will be right around 60 degrees. then a chance of showers wednesday and thursday. this is a system coming in from the west that gives us two chances of rain. one on thursday morning and then a second when the cold front comes in thursday afternoon. we certainly could use more rain than we have showing up right now. a pretty dry forecast. after that chance of rain the temperatures cool back down. bob? bob: thanks, mike.
