ed: we have a set update from that deadly cement truck crash. the baby that was critically hurt has died. his mother christina rusken also killed. his two-year-old brother in critical but stable condition. j.c.: police are searching for suspects in a brazen robbery. investigators say two men used a stun gun on workers of the colonial trading shop and tied them up. ed: now a standoff at an apartment has forcibly to shut down roads. officers say they try to make an arrest. they believe the suspects involved may be armed. j.c.: we begin with the weather. ed: harvey tracking some rain moving in. harvey: this is the remnants of patricia. it is not imminent. you also see it is headed our way. here is the timeline for you. no problems tonight in terms of wet weather. or for tomorrow morning commute. by tomorrow evening commute, the rain will be just about to boston starting sooner off to the west.

from 12 months reveals problems like heavy rust on construction joints, corrosion, and missing steel plates. this comes on the heels of news last week that state officials found hundreds of cracked or damage nuts in tunnel life interest. mass dot says the condition of the tunnels is what you would expect on any stretch of highway due to the wear and tear from the high violet traffic. mass dot also says inspections are done lightly and repairs are prioritized. a spokesman released a statement saying "all told between the physical inspection process and recordkeeping, the process to ensure the public safety within the tunnel system is being carried out according to stringent, robust maintenance near constant basis." safe and they also point out that none of the areas affected were rated to be critical or risk of imminent failure. ed:

a new hampshire man charged with trying to distribute inappropriate images to children. police in derry say the suspect use social media apps to share the pictures. heather joins us with more. heather: the alleged victims range in age from just 10 to 22 years old. 23-year-old matthew rettig of derry is charged with nine felonies including distribution of child sex abuse images. court documents say some of the victims live in derry. reddi ttig was communicating through snap chat and kik. >> paretns should be aware of what is on their child' s phone, what is on their tablets and computers. heather: rettig is being held on $5,000 bail. he admitted to police that he sent inappropriate messages. he is back in court next week. j.c.: police are investigating a threat against in september community middle school. the superintendent says at

ed: we have another general motors to tell you about. gm is recalling cars that can leak oil and catch fire. the recall was issued because repairs from the first two did not work. almost 1.5 million cars dating back to 1997 are impacted by this latest recall. fiat chrysler recalling 94,000 jeeps today. the air-conditioning lines are in danger of catching fiber the company looked into the problem after getting two complaints of smoke and fire in 2015 jeep cherokees to chrysler saying it does not know of any related injuries. j.c.: walmart says it was to be the next use its own drones in the skies. they filed for permission today. a walmart spokesman says it has been testing drones inside for months. now the retailer wants to use them outside in specific testing sites.

it actually looks like a pattern will be fairly dry after this one storm for a while. but it does look like one to two inches of rain. some of the higher elevations from the worcester hills to the berkshires could be higher than that. we will see how that plays out. this will get started later tomorrow at last into the first part of thursday. here is the moisture, and yes, it is the remnant moisture of what was once a very powerful hurricane patricia. it' s headed in our direction. all right. we have had a few thin cloud around but it has been a nice day after that real cold frosty start. we will see an increase in high clouds late tonight. then the clouds will be thickening the afternoon. by later in the afternoon, rain will be moving into the boston area but it will start earlier the farther west you are. so, if you' re talking about being in worcester or around springfield, you have a wet evening commute. it will become a wet evening commute in and around boston. the rain may take longer to reach around the cape and the islands. once it does, there will be heavier downpours picked tropical like downpours.

overnight tomorrow night into the morning commute on thursday. then after the morning commute on thursday, the rain should become more scattered in nature. just a few leftover showers with bright spots and a very, very mild thursday is coming up. more about that in a moment. there could be a leftover scattered spotty shower later thursday. even if that happens, it would be out of here before the patriots play the dolphins. tonight will not be quite as cold as last night. tomorrow is going to feel damp and raw. s, might touch 60 on the watches, though. tomorrow night if we get into pick up out of the south. the temperatures will not go down. they will go up during tomorrow night overnight. look at this, 4:30 in the morning thursday. look at these temperatures. we are used to frosty readings. and it is going to be in the 60' downpours. even as the rain ends, if we get in the upper 60' s.

truck. >> the baby boy on life support after that accident has also died. jack harper is live at the scene where one woman says she has been fighting for safety changes for years. jack: she has. it was 18 years ago when her family of five was hit head-on just like yesterday. her cousin was killed. she came back today because she says she cannot take this anymore-- her husband was killed. >> we were same corner. we got hit head-on. my husband died instantly. jack: michael was killed when a driver on drugs crossed the line. yesterday christina crossed the line in the path of a cement truck. for years, lisa has called for a barrier between the lanes. >> if those berries were up right now, this accident would not of happened because they would not have been able to collide. jack: christina died instantly. her baby noah was trapped in the wreckage.
