, 495. 93 heavy approaching spot pond. delays on 95. expressway is 25 from braintree to boston. emily: breaking overnight, scramble to escape intense flames as fire consumes a building. dozens of people are out of their homes. randy: sera congi is at the scene for us right now. sera: 31 people are homeless due to the fire, including seven children. crews arriving on the scene to clean up some of the debris from this intense fire. flames broke out last night starting in the back of the building on the second floor. when firefighters arrived, the blaze was in the walls of the building. it went into the attic and through the roof. the race was on to get people

out but many people came out on their own. we talked with one of the residents who escaped. >> as soon as i went to the kitchen i smelled of the smoke and i ran down. i am like let me see if i can seat it from my nieces room. as soon as i saw it, the downstairs hallway was on fire. sera: that was bernadette guzman . she just moved into the building three months ago and she has lost everything. the red cross is helping the 31 buildings. the cause of the fire is under investigation. the district chief told me it is not considered suspicious. live in lynn, sera congi, wcvb

boston police are trying to track down this man wanted in connection with a deadly shooting in brighton. police releasing this photo of gammada musa. they say he is considered armed and dangerous following thursday night' s shooting on telford street which killed desmond joseph of allston. randy: right now police are investigating after a child is hit by a car after being let off a school bus alone. the eyeopener' s antoinette antonio is live in worcester where there are a lot of questions this morning. antoinette: the biggest question is why the bus driver would let a 5-year-old off without a parent to meet him. when the little boy tried to cross the street, he was hit by a car. the bus driver dropped the ball it off on hamilton street without an adult to pick him up, which is against school policy. the driver who hit the boy says the boy ran into the street from between two parked vehicles. the driver was going below the speed limit. the boy is a student at abby kelly foster charter school and suffered a broken leg and minor head trauma. an investigation is underway to

investigation just getting underway. it forced dozens of people into the cold. emily: we are at the scene with what we know right now. sera: the cleanup is now underway. the damage done was to the top two floors of this three-story building and that is where the residents are. 24 adults and seven children now homeless. flames broke out last night in the back of the building on the second floor. when firefighters arrived, the of the building. it continued into the attic and through the roof. and everyone made it out safely. two people had to be taken out by latter but no one was injured. one of the residents said that the firearms in the building go up a lot so they did not think much when they heard them until they smelled smoke and everyone raced to get out.

ammunition out of an apartment building on jewel street during the investigation. roads were closed and a school put on lockdown and an apartment building evacuated while police were searching. they believed he may have left the area. emily: an attack inside a subway car in philadelphia, two people tried to rob a passenger who fell asleep, but he chased them and they pulled out a taser and he winds up on the tracks. the victim pulled himself back up before another train came and police are now searching for the two suspects. randy: the funeral today for the new york city police officer gunned down last week. investigators have determined that the gun used to kill them came into the city through the iron pipeline, those with -- those weapons smuggled into the city from south carolina. six arrests were made on tuesday in connection to the pipeline on the same day the shooting suspect was indicted. emily: dashcam video has been released in a deadly encounter between a teenager and a police

officer in south carolina. it happened over the summer. police say lieutenant mark tiller was conducting an undercover drug operation when he shot 19-year-old zachary hammond. the dash-cam video shows hammond driving his car towards tiller. the officer then shot in self defense. prosecutors announced yesterday that tiller will not be charged. randy: a michigan homeowner hears a big kaboom and this is what she finds when she walks outside. a car on her roof. the driver of a ford mustang lost control on a road and landed on the roof of the house. turns out the house is built next to a hill, and the roof is nearly level with the ground. emily: a drug that uses the herpes virus to treat skin cancers now has fda approval. tumor tissue to rupture cancer right now, the drug is only approved for melanoma treatments. with that deadly form of skin cancer each year. shown to prolong a patient'
