down your morning commute. downpours throughout the night. heavy rain right now. mike is going to take a closer look at the radar. look at the wind. just over 40 miles per hour in worcester. along the coastlines, gusting 30 to 40 miles per hour. we continue with the wind advisory through 10:00 this morning, especially if we get stronger downpours. we could see gusts to 50 miles per hour. there is a tropical feel out there with temperatures in the mid and upper 60' s right now. we step into the morning and the heavy rain will be with us morning. we are starting to see elements towards everything will be out of here by late morning. afternoon. heavy rain and thunder threat through 8:00 or 9:00 this

one person was taken to mass general, but he' s expected to be ok. another man suffered minor injuries. emily: right now, the future of fantasy sports in massachusetts could be in jeopardy as the state gaming commission meets to discuss the legality of sites like draftkings and fanduel, and if they border on online gambling. they will also determine if the sites should be regulated. governor charlie baker says the best course of action may be both private and government regulations. randy: investigators are trying to figure out how a military blimp broke loose in maryland and landed in pennsylvania. the high tech blimp was developed and built by waltham based raytheon, part of a multi billion dollar military program. the unmanned balloon flew for hours yesterday, carrying highly sensitive equipment, and knocking into trees and power lines. emily: right now, an uxbridge man is under arrest. just a few words got him hauled off a flight at logan airport. the eye' s frank holland is tracking developments. frank is in east boston this morning. frank: that man has been identified as 55-year-old dennis

campbell of uxbridge. he' s expected to face a judge later today. police say campbell was on a united airlines flight from boston to chicago last night. just before take-off, he allegedly made a comment about having a bomb in his bag. state police were called, and quickly removed him from the plane. they didn' t find a bomb. the flight took off without campbell about an hour later. frank: campbell was held on $250 bail, his arraignment later today in east boston. live in boston, frank holland, wcvb, newscenter 5. emily: sentencing will be handed down today for the former new hampshire prep school student whose rape trial made national headlines. owen labrie was cleared of the most serious charges, but was convicted of using a computer to lure a 15-year-old girl to a sexual encounter. he' s hoping for probation but faces up to 11 years. his trial exposed a campus sex competition culture between male students at saint paul' s in concord. >> we are running for

bella bond case. an independent investigator found that state social workers failed the little girl when they closed her case in 2013. emily: the girl' s mother, rachelle bond, and her boyfriend michael mccarthy are charged with bella' s murder and cover-up. governor charlie baker says many people dropped the ball in the case. but the report concludes the department of children and families should not be blamed for bella' s death. the governor says family, friends, and even neighbors should also raise red flags. >> i do not know anybody who wants the commonwealth of massachusetts barging into people' s homes without a process or rationale for doing so. emily: governor baker says big changes should be evident at dcf by mid-november. a moment of silence on the basketball court. randy: the tribute across the country for late coach flip saunders. making every penny count, literally. the arkansas man who saved his

warwick, rhode island, gusting to 57. the wind right now continues to gust 40 -- 30 to 40 miles per hour. strong southerly wind has brought up tropical moisture and warmth. it is 70 degrees in boston. s to near 70 on the north shore. low 70' s in many areas this afternoon. the southerly wind shifts to the southwest at 10 to 25 miles per hour. hanging on to debbie -- too heavy downpours. through 8:00 this morning, the heaviest rain shifts to the cape. drying out midday with a risk of a spot shower as the cold front passes by. we have to get through the next couple of hours. heavy rain now.

to take a look at the areas that will be hit hardest, we go to mike. mike: i plotted out where we have storm damage reports. pre-much eastern part of the state, but focusing in on the southeastern part of the state. we had some trees down and powerline issues. had this come in . some trees down and some liars on main street. that may be slowing down travel. these are roaring along so fast. i put a tracker on their and -- i put a tracker on them and a new cell comes over on top of them. it should be in marshall in about seven minutes. when this comes through, you can expect heavy downpours. we have picked up a little bit of lightning, but it is down towards long island. could be a rumble of thunder out

at mass general. he' s hoping doctors can fit him with a prosthetic, and get him back on his board. randy: topping economic headlines, the house has passed a bipartisan budget deal to prevent a government default. the legislation now heads to the senate, which is on track to pass it before tuesday' s deadline. the deal gives the government authority to borrow freely through march 2017. funding to keep the government open runs out on december 11. an early holiday gift for travelers. airline tickets around thanksgiving and christmas are a little bit cheaper this year. that' s because of increased competition on busy routes, and airline expansion. average ticket prices were down 4.3% for the first nine months this year. industry experts believe that trend will continue through the holidays. emily: asian markets slide today after the federal reserve kept rates down, but indicated they may rise in december. right now, dow futures are lower

emily: 4:55 this morning. time for your early news to go. randy: newly unsealed documents marathon bomber' s pretrial the documents show the fbi screened his calls, and he was barred any contact with media and cut off from communicating with other inmates. right now, tsarnaev is being held in solitary confinement at the nation' s toughest federal prison in colorado. his lawyers are trying to prevent prosecutors from getting prison records about his current arrangements. emily: a pedestrian is seriously hurt after being struck by a car in west bridgewater. our partners at the brockton enterprise say the person was crossing north main street around 8:30 last night when it happened. the driver did stay on the scene. so far, no word on any charges. police on the south shore are searching for suspects in a string of bb gun shootings. three businesses along route 53 in norwell were hit with bb or pellet gun rounds yesterday. the windows at a bank, pizza restaurant, and outdoor-gear store were damaged. a woman driving on route 139 in
