caption cob tent and accuracy. ] >> baking news. >> intelligence agencies in two countries are now calling it an act of terrorism likely carried out by isis. ed harding is tracking new developments from the breaking news desk. reporter: both americans and british investigators say it's more likely than not that the passenger jet was indeed brought down by a bomb. he quotes an unidentified u.s. intelligence source as saying the russian airliner was brought down by a bomb placed on the plane by isis. also think a bomb was responsible for the crash which killed all 224 people on-board. cameron has suspended all british flights to and from the the plane went down. they will have to see when flights can resume. investigators continue to examine the airline's flight recorders for further clues as to the crash. out a few possible causes including a surface-to-air missile.

crash at the dangerous curve on 20. sky five on the scene. series injuries. baby and his mother were killed at that time same spot when their truck. the town says they are taking steps to make that spot safer. the work is set to begin on sunday. right now a murder mystery in bridgewater. a woman's bound, burned body found on the train tracks there. witnesses describe a wild scene as police arrived. >> rhondella richardson is live near where that body was found. you're asking for the public's help. reporter: that's right. the body was found 50 yards down on the side of the track. this is the first murder investigation for bridgewater this year. yes, they are looking to the public for leads. reporter: it still smells of smoke and fire at the charred spot where a woman's body was set on fire. police discovered charred remains in the brush along bridgewater's oak street

commuter rail tracks. >> her hands were tied behind her back. in some fashion tied toward her feet. >> investigators want to know if the murder happened here or where else and they want to know who the killer. police are combing the tracks for clues after getting a 911 call from the house next door around 11:45 p.m. reporting a suspicious vehicle. >> they believe it backed down the tracks. >> the dad called 911. >> he didn't think nothing of it and then someone else in the neighborhood seen some people masked walking up the railroad tracks, and that's when it got suspicious. and the cops arrived and then there was an explosion. >> the d.a. won't comment directly on those details but they are reassuring residents this isn't a random violence. police visit the family that called 911 and ask people to

think about to anything suspicious after the last train. >> anybody that may have seen a vehicle at about 11:30 in the area of oak street -- reporter: the suspicious vehicle has been described only as a black suv. investigators now waiting for information from the medical examiner on cause of death. live in bridgewater, rhondella richardson, wcvb, newscenter 5. >> new at 5, a driver in western massachusetts surviving a very close call on interstate 91. a wooden post came smashing through the windshield of a subaru driving on the northbound side of the highway this morning. the 67-year-old woman behind the wheel incredibly was not hurt. state police say the post likely fell off one vehicle and was sent airborne when the tractor-trailer ran over it. >> the teenager accused of brutally killing a teacher ruled competent to stand trial. newscenter 5 was inside the courtroom

philip chisholm's mental health. reporter: with a shorter hair cut he entered the courtroom without incident after a three-week delay in his murder trial. last month he refused to come into the courtroom as jury way. he displayed strange behavior in his holding cell like banging his head on the wall and table. he also made statements to a state psychologist that he and shoot him. his behavior prompted the judge to halt the trial for a mental health evaluation. this morning the judge referred to a 67 page report from doctors that he is competent to stand trial. >> based on having read the report, the court finds that mr. chisholm has sufficient mental ability. his attorney says he has a reasonable degree of rational understanding and factual against him. killing a high school math teacher two years his lawyers have indicated they plan to raise the issue of his

mental state of mind. now the trial is back on track. jury selection is set to begin tomorrow. the judge hopes opening arguments will begin by the end of next week. at the salem courthouse, sarah, wcvb, newscenter 5. >> aaron hernandez will not be in court to face a lawsuit filed bay friend, who says the former patriots star shot him in the face. that's according to documents filed this week in florida. bradley is seeking damages for injuries he suffered in february 2013. a shooting that happened after he and hernandez left a miami strip club. hernandez is serving a life killing of odom lloyd and is still facing a double murder charge in boston. >> break news in san diego, where police are involved in a stand-off with a man carrying a high-powered gun. officers swarmed the apartment complex after they got called the suspect was firing sporadically. no one has been hurt. the complex is under the san approach path so right now all planes have been

stopped from landing there. police have cornered the suspect on the rooftop. >> a imagine who stabbed college students, it happened at a rural campus about two hours east of san francisco. the victims were stabbed in front of the university administration building. three of them needed hospitalization. police shot the attacker shortly after they arrived. no apparent motive yet for this attack. >> donald trump, formally filed for the new hampshire primary today and managed to smack down most of his competitors in the process. political reporter janet caught up with the republican frontrunner as he was greeted by hundreds outside the granite state statehouse. >> with rubio triples numbers tripping in september, florida senator was targeted as number one. >> they waited hours for trump

that the case? it really all has to do with the wind direction coming in off of the water so it only allowed the temperature to get to about 60 in boston. at 10:00 a.m. and then that breeze off the water prevented any further temperature rise. beautiful skies that we've had in the last couple of days. incredible. very, very photogenic, guys. 54 degrees is the temperature in boston. you see wind direction. out of the east at eight miles per hour and that's why it's cooler along the shore while it was in the 60s, even touched 70 in places like southwestern new hampshire today. jaffrey. the wind direction, you can see it out of the east but where else it's starting to shift to the south that means tonight won't be quite as chilly as the last couple of nights. even the cool spots probably around 40 or low 40s an boston may actually stay above 50 or right temperature. southwest. that's a warmer weather wind direction. no longer an east wind so boston

won't be in the upper 50s. instead, in the upper 60s to around 70. a few low 70s around the region. not a record tomorrow because the records are fairly high. 73 in worcester and 79 in boston. but we're not likely to do it tomorrow but we may do it on friday or come close. the record is 73 in boston. i would expect around 72 or 73 and i certainly would not be shocked if we eclipsed the record. all because we're on the warm side of the jet stream, to give us a very, very warm start to the month of november. the average high temperature is 56. but most areas have been running way above average. in fact, even in boston, where we were cut down a little by the sea breeze, of eight degrees warmer than average in november. we'll talk more at 6:00 about what that may or may not mean for the upcoming winter. in the meantime here's your warmth tomorrow on that south-southwest wind but notice there is also some cloudiness and friday, some clouds as well. breeze gets stronger. the warmest day ahead of the

cool front and then the cool front crosses the region by friday night. a couple of showers tomorrow night and all of us could get a shower or two as the cold front comes through but check out the next seven days. tomorrow, right around 70 degrees. i mentioned friday, will it make 73 or higher to tie or break a record? a lot of it may have to do with the cloudiness. a few showers overnight on thursday into early friday but there should be some breaks of sun. if there aren't many we won't break the record. if we do get enough breaks, it that. just cooler. a nice day to be outside. a little breezy and saturday night, sunday, sunday night and be chillier with -- monday afternoon into tuesday, it turns not as warm as the weather we're going to have over the next couple of days. enjoy. >> just incredible. there is just no other word. >> it couldn't get any better. it just amazing. >> sweating on a club dance floor before 9:00 a.m. >> yes.

collewd if you prefer to take control over future debates. any motion of future attempts to create such an inappropriate alliance should meet the same fate. rather than force demands of their choosing as a prerequisite for hosting a debate. there is no question the last debate fell short. the cnbc moderators lost control from the start but turning debates over to the candidates is not the answer. those are called campaign rallies. whichever contender emerges as the 45th president will have to stand up to a much wider range of tough questions, including those they may consider innan. they share the fish bowl with a large school now but won't next that said, there are many fixes that could be implemented for the rest of this political season. candidates have long been involved in shaping debates and that practice should continue and some of the candidates' suggestions are worthy of consideration but not as an organized directive the media's independence, even with all the criticism, which is sometimes warranted, remains
