m emily riemer. and we are talking 70' s again. cindy: september weather in the months of november. a warm afternoon but starting out this morning. heads up. there is a lot of fog along the south coast. we have a dense fog advisory through 8:00 this morning. at times visibility could drop under a quarter of a mile. it is really to connecticut, rhode island, and southeastern massachusetts we are dealing with that fog. visibility around providence down to a mile. so, keep in mind we have some low clouds and fog. you can see them lifting to the north over the past few hours. we are coming up with a southwesterly wind that is bringing out more moisture. but it is also bringing in more cash warmer temperatures. waking up on this november morning, to. boston 55 -- nashua just 38 degrees.

in the morning hours, jumping into the 60' s. during the afternoon, yes, lots of lower 70' s. a fairmont close this morning. especially in southeastern massachusetts. i think the brightest skies will be to the north but that southwesterly wind warms us up. warmest temperatures through the merrimack valley. 75 degrees. noticed it is coolest along the cape. if we get to 72 in boston, it is warm but not a record. the. record for today is closer to 80 degrees we may come close to record highs tomorrow. let' s get you to the road to see how we are looking. olessa: good morning, everyone. a quiet start on the roads. a live look at the expressway. you can see the northbound side getting by without problems. let' s get to the maps. overnight construction in the final stages traveling 93 south. also picking up that road work on the expressway north bound by the pike. on 93 both directions by route 24 and 95 north at 128 clearing as we speak.

and along the pike. construction zone clearing 128 between route 2a and route 2. emily: thank you. now to breaking news where following. randy: in a disturbing discovery in worcester has turned a neighborhood into a crime same. frank holland is there this morning with what we know. frank: right now investigators are trying to figure out a grizzly mystery that is seen -- car. according to the worcester telegram the started as a car fire near swann avenue. the car was off to the side of the road in washington heights. after putting up the flames, firefighters discovered what appears to be a body. fire and police investigators blocked off the road. they searched for evidence up until almost midnight. >> my measurement is right there. we could hear voices outside. we peaked -- my bedroom is right there. we saw the commotion going on. that is kind of scary that

to be the pilot and pieces of that plane, including the tail. the pilot is also thought to be the 57-year-old owner of the two-seater which is registered out of wrye, new hampshire. before crash, witnesses say the plane was being flown low. luggage found floating led police to believe there might be another victim. but now policing the pilot was the only person on board. detectives are headed to the have to to confirm his identity. it appears that plane took off from philadelphia with -- en route to portsmouth. randy: a deadly crash is under investigation in boston' s south end. two women were crossing the street yesterday when they were hit by a black suv. a woman in her 70' s was killed. another woman with her was seriously hurt. officers say the driver may have been blinded by the glare of the sun. in our next half hour, why witnesses say this area is especially dangerous for drivers and pedestrians. three people are injured after

but i think today going to be a day that really feels like september. although it is going to be warm, the records for today out of reach. i think we will fall shy in worcester. the record in boston is close to 80 degrees. even though we get into the lower 70' s in boston, that record may be out of reach. nonetheless starting out warm this morning. mid 50' s from boston on southward. cooler after the merrimack valley. orange is just 39 degrees. we have mainly clear skies. a southwesterly wind has been developing overnight. it is this wind that is bringing in warmer air. it is also bring up low-level moisture. we have had some low clouds and a little bit of fog from the south. along the south coast, buzzards bay through south coast of rhode island, connecticut, we have a dense fog advisory until 8:00 this morning. visibility at time is going to drop down under a quarter of a mile. you can see that fog is more pronounced along southeastern massachusetts.

so, we have that fog this morning in southeastern massachusetts burning off to partly sunny skies. that southwesterly breeze is going to warm the temperatures up. most of us running between 70 and 75 looking for a high of 70 in worcester. 72 boston. the mid-70' s metrowest, the merrimack valley. that wind will keep us cooler relatively speaking. i think the brightest skies are going to be running north of the pike today. but everyone seeing a bit of sunshine. overnight, cannot rule out a spot shower along the south coast. southeastern massachusetts the best chance of seeing a spot shower overnight. a look at these overnight low temperatures. upper 50' s to around 60 heading out tomorrow. so that is our springboard. friday is going to be a very warm day. although we have a lot of cloud cover, and we are going to watch this frontal boundary. out ahead of it, a gusty southwesterly wind. the wind shifts to the northwest. in that begins the cooldown for the weekend.

73 in boston. we may be getting to those record highs coming up tomorrow. in terms of showers, i think tomorrow is mainly drive. there will be a fair amount of clouds in the morning. and there is a window in the afternoon with the skies may brighton up and that gusty southwesterly wind likely going to push the temperatures up. a lot of the showers fall apart. i' m not expecting much in terms of rainfall. but there could be a brief passing shower tomorrow. otherwise, drive for the weekend and cooling down. saturday is a warmer day in the lower 60' s. upper 40' s by sunday. a little taste of reality but a short-lived back to near 60' s again by early next week. olessa: looking good on the rose this. a live look at the bacon bridge. let' s get to the maps now. all of our overnight construction is gone. not going to bump into any of that. roadwork on 93 south. that cleared early. same on the expressway by the pike. once again i-93 passing by route 124.

and somerville, breaking news and worcester. emily: erica with breaking details in a new york city plane crash. cindy with your forecast. your very warm forecast. randy: you have got snow on the wall. why? cindy: something interesting to point out this money. take a look back at the past decade of our snowfall totals and you can see there are three years that stand out. i' ve highlighted them in yellow because they have been below average in terms of snowfall. what is interesting is that in each of those seasons we had well below average snowfall, we had very warm novembers. today is only the fifth day of november, but if this trend continues, oftentimes warm novembers can lead to less snowy winters in boston. it can happen. something to watch over the next several weeks. for the mother of november, we are running 8 degrees above normal.

boston police say the two women were crossing when they were struck by a black suv. the woman killed was in her 70' s. police say the setting sun may have blinded the driver. she was so upset she was also taken to the hospital for chest pains. no charges have been filed against the driver. emily: a big thank to a somerville police officer for what is being called a phenomenal act of kindness. sera: instead of a speeding ticket, the driver received these flowers. robin sutherland had just learned her mother would need to go to hospice. when she was pulled over she started to cry. the police officer only gave her a warning. later that night, when robin got home, she found flowers and a thoughtful note that was simply signed "from the officer who pulled her over." robin is trying to find the officer and we are hoping to help her. she wants to give her a big thank you.
