emily: and a plane registered in riot crashes in new york, killing one person on board. erika: but first, the mystery and worcester -- a body found inside a burning call -- burning car. reporter: the investigation into this gruesome mystery continues with investigators trying to figure out how a body ended up inside the earning car. this car in flames when firefighters arrived. they discovered human remains inside after putting the fire out. >> definitely scary. reporter: people living in the washington heights area of worcester reacting to the gory details. fire crews were called to the scene around 10:30. once the flames were extinguished, firefighters discovered the body and police were called to the scene to search for evidence. >> my bedroom is right there and we could hear voices outside. that'

scary that that happened right around here. reporter: the car fire happening your the 100 block of swann avenue. it' s a dirt road with only an abandoned house nearby. the discovery of the body is disturbing, but many say the car fire is not unusual. >> i have seen rubbish fires more than a dozen times and i' ve only seen one car fire so far, but i have heard there have been a couple they have put out before. reporter: the fire chief tells me this is a place where stolen cars have been dumped and torched in the past. they are still trying to identify the body found inside the burning car. emily: a new search under way and an unsolved murder in new hampshire. the police and fbi closing several roads on the north end today where denise roberts was shot and killed while out for a

walk in august. area residents signed forms giving police permission to search their yard. no arrests have been made. the reward has grown to more than $42,000. over lowell, police are conducting a new search for a missing woman described as mentally challenged. the 67-year-old was last seen on october 25 walking near her home on tulip lane. she has the mental capacity of an eight-year-old child and is diabetic. erika: a framingham man is of rape. our media partners say , high school counselors came upon a girl coming out of that area wearing no shoes after reportedly being assaulted. 18-year-old patrick cowart is under arrest charged with one count of rape. emily: and a police officer faces a judge accused of choking

reporter: arraignment. the 30 year veteran pleading not guilty to several charges, including strangulation. >> do you have any comment? said just as many words leaving the courthouse as he did in front of the judge, pleading not guilty. he was a sergeant with the pepperell police department when allegations surfaced of . they did not reveal any details about the prisoners injuries or denying any and all act gives asians. -- any accusations. it' s my understanding the involved party has no memory of what happened. reporter: but after an internal investigation, herrera

>> he has been an outstanding servant for 20 years and served in the tactical team for 20 years and has been a hostage negotiator for 10 years. reporter: he was released on his own recognizance and will be back in court next month. emily: right now, police on the scene of a quadruple fatal shooting in maine that happened overnight in a home in oakland. inside, police found three people dead and outside, they discovered a fourth body believed to be the gunman. a four-year-old girl was found in the home, but she was not hurt. she is staying with family while police investigated motive. erika: detectives from new york heading to new hampshire after a plane flying to the granite state crashes off the coast of queens. the body of a 57-year-old man believed to be the pilot and owner of the plane was recovered before the search was called off due to low visibility. the faa says no distress call was made.

witnesses say the plane was lying low and erratically before it crashed into the ocean. emily: a deadly mystery in bridgewater with police asking for the public' s health after -- public' s help after a woman' s burned body is found behind railroad tracks in a secluded area. witnesses saw an suv pull up and when police arrived, they found the body burned beyond recognition. they say her hands and feet were tied and they do not believe it was random. jury selection is back underway in the marty -- murder trial of the teen charged with raping and killing his teacher. a judge cleared the way for the trial i declaring philip chisholm mentally competent. the trial was stopped when he began caving strangely, banging his head on the table and wall. he' s accused of murdering his math teacher two years ago. erika: new details about this

russian plane that crashed in egypt this week. preliminary reports suggest it was likely brought down by a bomb. isis has twice claimed responsibility. the terror group may have had inside help. reporter: as russian rescue teams wrap up their search , a new video showing the immediate aftermath of the crash emerges. growing concerns over what could have caused the airplane to fall out of the sky in the sinai peninsula. the u.s. secretary of defense agreed with u.k. officials that the plane was more likely than not down by a bomb. >> that is one possibility, and explosive device. i understand there are other hypotheses. reporter: those comments echoing those of other counterterrorism officials. >> we have concluded there is a significant possibility that crash was caused by an explosive device.

emily: a child missing in alabama for 13 years has been found alive. julian hernandez was just five when his mother said he had vanished. it turned out he had been living in -- living with his father all this time. he was found when red flags were raised when he tried to apply for college. his social security number came back as an active and officials are seeking charges against his father. erika: commitment 2016 -- republican and democratic presidential candidates making their way to new hampshire to get their names and the primary ballot. this comes as pressure increases on nbc2 canceled donald trump' s guest appearance on this weekend' s "saturday night live." reporter: marco rubio signing the granite state primary. donald trump was the first republican candidate to file for
