8:14 am
evening hours. everybody starts to clear out. with clearing skies and the winds dropping off just a touch, look at the way the temperatures fall tonight. we're back in the 30's in concord and nashua. also in worcester at 37 degrees. 43 in boston. and 46 on nantucket. so to start out tomorrow morning, you're going to need a coat. it's going to be quite cool out there and then with the brisk wind once again, temperaturewise we're only going to warm tomorrow into the low to mid 50's. and we will have a lot of sunshine. so be aware of that. if you are headed out to the patriots game tomorrow, 50 degrees at kick-off. sunshine. now the next seven days temperatures are going to continue to warm although we chilly. these are your overnight lows, your morning lows. 30 in orange. 41 boston. 36 degrees in lawrence. and then our next chance for some showers comes on tuesday although it looks like the best

8:18 am
that could be a perfect time for emily: and lastly, if breathing isn't for you, try something else. rena: you can also elicit the relaxation response with a word or phrase or part of a prayer. maybe on the exhale you focus on letting go and you just repeat that to yourself over and over again. emily: the more you try this, the easier it gets to quickly slip into that relaxed state. it's like muscle memory for exercise. the benefit for you? less stress throughout the day. i'm emily riemer, wcvb, >> now sportscenter 5 with bob halloran. the boston sports teams. the bruins got this capital idea started thursday night. the patriots will take on some washington insiders tomorrow. and the garden with a wizards last night. it can only be jared leading the way for the celtics last night. patriots safety devin mccourty court side for this one. he watched jared sullinger play his best game as a celtics. he led the charge.

more decks by the day's end. we'll have those winds persistent out of the west-northwest at about 10-20. we will see some clouds out there filter on in. they're all out ahead of a cold front that is pushing through right now. it's kicking up those winds out of the north and west. it's also going to bring in more clouds through the day today. now, i do want to talk about another area that has a lot of clouds. that's down for the tropics. in fact, watching this one area here near mexico and texas has about a 20% chance of becoming tropical within the next 48 hours. and then this area over here near puerto rico has a 20% chance also of becoming tropical but in the next couple of days high school a 50% chance. so we're watching that one very carefully. in fact, hurricane season is not over until november 30. our next one would be kate if we got another storm. now for today, here's what happens closer to home. notice the clouds increase. by lunchtime, we're socked in with high, thin clouds but

through the afternoon, we're going to see those clouds thin out especially the farther north and west you go. now south and east, we're going to hang on those clouds a little longer and also there could be a couple of showers down to the south of nantucket. through the evening hours though, notice we really start to clear things out. because of that, the temperatures drop overnight. look at these overnight lows. this is what you're going to wake up to tomorrow morning. 30's in concord, near the freezing mark. 37 worcester. 43 boston. 46 in nantucket. and so you can see tomorrow even though we see a lot of sunshine, temperatures don't warm up all that much. we're talking 50 in worcester. mid 50's in boston. which is where we should be for this time of year. but it's okay. we are going to warm up slowly. in fact, on hundred mun even though they start out chilly with overnight lows in the 30's and 40's, notice our high temperature during the day warming up into the upper 50's. then on tuesday, we're going to
8:47 am
watch our next chance for some rain. it's an area of low pressure but it's all going to depend on how close it tracks to our area. i do think southeastern mass will see some clouds from this but it's a question if they will see some showers from it overnight tuesday into first thing wednesday. but you see that cold front coming from the west. that is going to be our next big weather maker for everybody when we see a chance for rain which will come thursday afternoon and continue into early friday. but notice it is in the form of rain because temperatures are so mild staying in the 60's through the workweek. frank? frank: thanks a lot, danielle. a big night for the celtics winning for the first time since opening night. jared sullinger leading the charge. the celtics-- averaging just 19 points in the first quarter this year-- had forty last night. celtics led by 15 after one and by 23 at the break. the c's end a three-game losing streak by beating the washington wizards 118-98. antoinette: pats wide receiver julian edleman listed as probable for tomorrows's matchup
