s going after anyone who may have contributed to the teenager' s death. phil: also breaking isis is , claiming responsibility for an horrific attack in lebanon. jc: at least 37 people were killed in two suicide attacks, nearly 200 more hurt. ed harding joins us now from the breaking news desk with more. ed: the two suicide bombings happen just moments apart during crowded rush-hour today. the islamic state claimed responsibility on social media, but that has not been independently confirmed. the first bomb went off near a mosque, the second year of bakery. there are also reports of a third suicide bomber who was killed before he could detonate his bomb. lebanon is right next to syria where isis is fighting and this would be the groups second attack there. let' s take a live look at the radar there on your screen.

police say an 80-year-old man with medical issues was driving east on the westbound side. when troopers tried to slow traffic to stop him he hit one of the cruisers. the driver has been issued a summons and may have his license revoked. solidarity protests are being held on campuses nationwide like this one at boston college calling for racial equality. this movement driven by alleged racial injustice at the university of missouri. today the school selected a new interim boss. university of missouri wasting no time naming their new interim president michael middleton, a longtime law school professor. >> the university has faced it share of troubling incidents and we recognize that we must move forward as a community. >> it was monday when the former university president and the chancellor announced their resignation.

phil: investigators combing the wreckage of a plane that was caught on camera crashing in ohio. the small plane slammed into an apartment in akron tuesday, killing all 9 people on board. the ntsb says no distress call was made before the plane suddenly dropped as it approached an airport. the cockpit voice recorder has been sent to a lab but right now investigators suspect a mechanical failure. a deadly shootout in baltimore to tell you about. one man shot and killed after shooting a police officer in the leg. police came across that man armed with a gun on a city street last night. another officer returned fire, killing that man. jc: a tv news helicopter, helping catch a man accused of shining a laser at the chopper. the wabc chopper was up last night near newark liberty airport in new jersey when it was hit by a green beam. you can see here. the chopper was able to stay over the scene and guide police to the location, where a suspect was arrested. >> yeah we still have eyes on him, the car is going to be parked there and he' s walking away. if we could get the cops over here it would be awesome because we'

pummeled by severe weather. as you see here the same system , that brought a foot of snow to denver continues to drop more. in wyoming, several roads had to be shut down because of severe black ice. wind gusts up to 70 miles an hour also triggered several more wrecks last night. and it wasn' t snow but tornadoes wreaking havoc farther east. strong winds knocked down trees and scattered debris, cutting power to some parts of the area. the national weather service has confirmed at least one twister touched down in iowa. meteorologists are in the state today surveying that damage. >> anytime we are transitioning, we tend to see more of these destructive storms. >> we have a time lapse of the last 24 hours across the midwest and out to the northeast and we are getting rain showers out of this now. let' s show you the rain in the northeast. it'

drizzle and poor visibility causing airport delays, almost an hour and a half at newark, new jersey. the lowest visibility along the mass pike to worcester. if the clouds and the airport are at 1000 feet, then that is it, the clouds are right there. visibility is reduced in eastern massachusetts and easter new england with the rain and the drizzle and fog, kind of a murky evening. we see the rain showers in the region and there is one final band with a front that is back here. that band of shower should be approaching us at around 10:00 or 11:00 tonight, but after that the front will come through in the sky should clear by tomorrow morning. we will probably have a lot of sunshine tomorrow in boston and on down to kate todd but it will

the air will be a little unstable and there could be a shower in those areas during the hot part of the day. in boston along the coast it will be chillier to the west but a big temperature difference saturday compared to friday. there is a wind advisory in effect, down on nantucket. the winds are likely to be the strongest tomorrow. the rest of our area looks like they are getting close to a wind advisory situation. i expect 15-30 miles an hour winds with gusts of 40 possible in and around the boston area tomorrow. the storm winds are already in evidence down around the great lakes and buffalo. buffalo has had some gusts in the last couple of hours between 50 and 60 miles per hour, very powerful winds around the great lakes at this time. you see a few little lights there because the clouds are so low in boston right now.

if you degrees is the temperature. when the temperature and dew point meet, the air is saturated and that' s the reason for the fog. the wind will be coming from the west-southwest moral. 40' s and low 50' s at this time and temperatures will not be that chile starting out tomorrow. the wind picks up from mid to late morning through the rest of the day. the temperature should make the upper 50' s along the coast and i think boston has a shot of actually touching 60 degrees tomorrow. inland areas with elevation in the low 50' s will be about it. that is where we are tomorrow. tomorrow night there could be a shower in a few spots, maybe a flurry in higher elevations. then saturday, just as windy as friday but 15 degrees colder. that is a big difference. as you follow the gusts building
