heather unruh joins us with more on this. heather the cdc says the obesity : rate is nearing 38% of adults in the united states up from 32% , a decade ago. for the first time the rate is significantly higher for women mostly for black and hispanic researchers don' t know why the rate is still rising. the report comes as americans choices. we drink less soda now and fast food chains serve healthier foods. one expert says to be cautious about the report this study was smaller than others like it. the report also looked at childhood obesity but didn' t see much of a change. that rate remains at about 17%. jc? jc: good news regarding americans and smoking, more are kicking the habit. federal health experts say cigarette smoking declined by a full percentage point from 2013 to 2014. and more good news, a decade ago, one in 5 americans smoked. now that' s down to one in six. there' s some bad news mixed in with the good, while younger

jc: kfc is launching home delivery. starting today, people in l.a. and san francisco can have food delivered right to them. kfc is teaming up with online delivery company door-dash to make it happen. it will cost the next or or $7, location. the fried chicken chain hopes to the year. more cities may come later. phil: big changes coming to walmart this black friday. it will offer most of its discounts online before they' re available in stores. those deals will be available on its website starting at 9:00 thanksgiving morning. stores that afternoon. walmart still expects to draw record crowds at its locations nationwide. apple is thinking of new ways it' u.s. banks to develop a payment service that would let people send each other cash from their phones. the plan is similar to paypal'

s app that lets people pitch-in on things like rent payments and restaurant checks. jc: a major legal battle is brewing over the mislabeling of birth control pills. more than 100 women across the u.s. have filed a lawsuit against the manufacturers claiming the error resulted in unwanted pregnancies. a birth-control pill packaging mixup has now led 113 women across 28 states to sue the companies that either made or packaged the pills, claiming they got pregnant. in the lawsuit, they say the pills were packaged in the wrong order, rotated 180 degrees , so the placebo pills were taken at the wrong time of the month, leaving women without adequate contraception. >> potentially that could result in two entire weeks of no hormonal suppression and
