three attacks, one outside the international stadium as a soccer match was going on. the death toll is now at least 35. the son of a polish immigrant who grew up in a brooklyn tenement. he went to public schools, then college, where the work of his life began -- fighting injustice and inequality, speaking truth to power. he moved to vermont, won election and praise as one of america's best mayors. in congress, he stood up for working families and for principle, opposing the iraq war, supporting veterans. now he's taking on wall street and a corrupt political system funded by over a million contributions, tackling climate change to create clean-energy jobs, fighting for living wages, equal pay, and tuition-free public colleges. people are sick and tired of establishment politics, and they want real change! searching around that theater for anyone who may have been hiding. there was one explosion outside the national stadium. the french attendance at a soccer match. he was evacuated. he is now in an emergency meeting gordon donating a response to these attacks. police are telling people to homes. homeland security says no specific or credible threat to our country. of course everyone monitoring the situation in france tonight. phil: we will continue to follow it throughout the evening here on channel 5. jc: we want to turn over to harvey leonard, who gives us a look at how the weather is shaping up. harvey: city cam is shaken a little bit and you know it has been a windy day.

tomorrow temperatures will be noticeably colder. when you combine the wind and temperature, we haven' t had much cold weather so far during the daylight hours. probably the chili us to daylight we have had. steady wind gusting. low 40' s and the winds are steady at 20 miles per hour. still gusting to about 30. wind advisory for the cape and the islands. some gusts up to 40 or slightly greater. these are the temperatures early in the day tomorrow, but there will be wind accompanying this. the temperatures will not bounce up that much because the temperature will be moving in. mid 40' s on average. there will be 15 to 30 mile per hour wind. it will only feel like the upper

john: french police confirmed the attack at the restaurant and attack at the theater were suicide attacks. dozens of people lost their lives in these shootouts, the most urgent of which is at that theater, where we understand at least 100 people have been taken hostage. here are live pictures from the streets of paris. police are standing guard there. police are still working to contain this threat. the military being deployed to the streets. one of the witnesses in one of these locations says the gunfire sounded like fireworks. the most urgent situation at that the editor right now. there were two explosions outside the national stadium.

he was evacuated safely. those people stayed in the stadium as police worked to contain the threat. we heard from president obama said this is not just an attack on france but on all of humanity and the values we share. the united states paying close attention to what is happening in france right now. certainly looks like a coordinated attack. world leaders monitoring the situation in paris. french police still at this try to contain the threat. >> we are getting details from the french government that told everyone to stay in place. there in paris with his wife.

a you tube concert is supposed to take place tomorrow night. looking you tell us about how they are deploying the military and the state of emergency in place? jc: john has stepped away to monitor the situation. we know the french president has closed the borders. they are calling this the deadliest attack in paris since world war ii. we don' t know what else is being planned. everybody is on high alert on this ride a knife. a statement out saying they are being extra vigilant. they are axing -- asking passengers to be extra vigilant. the things we normally hear them say. an extrovert might or tonight because of the uncertainty of this situation. fill bank -- phil: a state of emergency, closing down their borders.
