an international manhunt is underway for one of the suspected terrorists. one of his brothers also died in the attacks. this morning, officials thought they tracked him down to a house in belgium where they believed he was hiding. but he was not found inside. the neighborhood have long been played by the breastplate by radicalism -- the neighborhood had long been plagued by radicalism. the french authorities have identified him as the mastermind of the press attacks. his whereabouts are also unknown but it is believed the terror group' s commanders in syria planned and directed the violence. u.s. leaders are trying to figure out how to prevent attacks at home. >> this was so sophisticated and well planned and coordinated in advance. i think that is what concerns us the most. >> french air force responded dropping more than 20 bombs on the fact isis capital in northern syria. the world caused to remember the victims of friday'

>> comments from the f.b.i. on investigation. sources tell us the thieves got away with more than a dozen weapons, some of them assault rifles. it was a report of smoke in one of the buildings that first brought police and firefighters to the army reserve center sunday morning. the fire chief says there was a light haze but no fire. it was discovered overnight saturday, there was a break in and several weapons were stolen. sources say the thieves made their way to the building through the roof stealing weapons including assault rifles and handguns. the f.b.i. entered the missing weapons into a database to track and recover them. investigators are using surveillance video to find the suspects. with this incident coming so soon after the paris attacks, officials have assured the public they see no evidence it is tied to terrorism. sera congi, wcvb newscenter 5.

>> thank you. more breaking news. live sky 5 in fitchburg. the school has been evacuated because of a threatening note. fitchburg fire confirms police and fire are on the scene. we will continue to follow this story and bring you new information as we get it. >> the murder trial of philip chism is underway. he is charged with raping and killing his math teacher two years ago. todd is live in salem with the opening statements and testimony. >> it has been an intense and very emotional morning. very difficult for the family. in opening statements, the prosecution told the jury in vivid detail precisely what happened just over two years ago. the defense tried to explain philip chism' s mental illness is to blame. >> philip chism killed colleen

>> from the outset, the defense made clear to the jury this trial is not about who committed the crime. the defense admits philip chism raped and murdered his math teacher, colleen ritzer. it happened october 20 2, 2013. he dumped her body in the woods behind the school. the defense claims he was having a psychotic episode. the had been suffering from a psychotic disorder since the age of 10. >> prosecution pointed to signs of an attack planned before the school day even started. >> when 14-year-old philip chism arrived at denver' s high school -- danvers high school, he had a blue sweatshirt with a hood, and a terrible purpose. >> after opening statements, the jury heard testimony from the

police officer who found him walking around route 1 carrying this red backpack. inside were colleen ritzer' s i.d. and bank cards and a bloody box cutter. >> whose blood is this? he said it is the girl' s. >> the prosecution says he cut and stabbed colleen ritzer 16 times, cutting so deep he nicked her vertebrae. >> thank you. a fire and hazmat situation in south boston. this happened in a storage facility building. a lot of chemicals inside. firefighters needed to take extra precautions. the company is ameri cold logistics on widett circle. workers were inside at the time of the fire, but no injuries reported. >> we turn to the weather. a nice day today. >> it started out cloudy, but the clouds are gone. we are close to 60 degrees right now. enjoy it.

, this man hobbling. the woman hangs on for more than two tortorous minutes. finally, another man perched on the window reaches down to help . the man stops the video to help it and he was shot. nearly 30 victims of the shooting are still unidedntified. loved ones turning to social media for answers, using #searchparis tweeting heartbreaking photos and descriptions of relatives reported to be missing. one distraught father looking for his missing daughter confronted french prime minister manuel valls, pleading for help and answers. i haven' i don' t even know where she is. erika: the pregnant woman and the man who pulled her to safety to escape. but abc news has learned that the woman has since been able to let him know she and her unborn stay with wcvb for updates on

the paris terror attacks and the worldwide response. >> right now, state police say the cape cod community college campus in barnstable is clear after the bomb squad conducted a search this morning. a written threat was found at the school and classes were cancelled today. a state police spokesman says they didn' t find anything. local as well as campus police will handle the investigation into the hoax threat. >> a 19-year-old was seriously hurt after shotwell sitting in a car in revere along american legion highway around 8:00 last father. police say several shots were fired into the vehicle. is in stable condition. police are looking for a black s.u.v. with tinted windows. >> officials will survey damage after severe storms in california this weekend. the national weather service confirming a tornado touched down. it brought down trees, damaged homes, and left hundreds in the dark.

temperatures for the next couple of days. for the moment, we are seeing the clouds thinning out. we had high-level clouds overhead this morning in many communities. now we are talking about a lot of blue sky and sunshine. really nice in boston now, 58 degrees. the air is dry with a dew point of 34. the wind is out of the west-northwest at nine miles an hour. the wind will shift north and bring in cooler temperatures. you can see lots of upper 50' s. hyannis, 57. safety one taunton -- 61 in taunton. upper 50' s in boston through the north shore. merrimack in the upper 50' s. the forecast does show temperatures drop sharply by 6:00 into the mid-40' s. we are in the 30' s. we will spend overnight in the 20' s and 30' s. it is going to be a cold night coming up. the frontal boundary comes

we might see a passing cloud. we spend most of the night clear the cold air to drain down. the door. early. s in nashua. boston will be flirting with the freezing mark. mid 30' s on cape cod. one of the colder mornings of the week tomorrow morning. with high-pressure nosing in, tons of sunshine tomorrow. we will hang on to sunshine wednesday as well. with the high overhead, temperatures will be cooler the next couple of days. we can break it down the seven-day forecast. tomorrow, we start in the 20' s and only end up in the 40' s with sunshine. 46 in boston. we are talking about a cooler than average day on tuesday. wednesday starts chilly. we will recover to about 50 in the afternoon. thursday we will watch the system out west approach us. ahead of us, we will have stronger southerly wind.

>> there are now plans in the works to build a skyscraper out of wood. emily: it' s being planned in portland, oregon. most high-rise buildings are made from steel and concrete, but this one will be framed with cross-laminated timber. the company behind the plans for the new 12-story building says the timber is stronger and lighter than regular wood. the idea may seem strange, but high-rise wood buildings are becoming popular in switzerland and parts of england and canada. erika: zebras on the lam in philadelphia. town officials are now trying to figure out how two of them got loose from their univer-soul circus group. they were first spotted near a mall parking lot yesterday. neither were hurt and were taken back to their owners. they are smaller than i thought. >> black friday sales everywhere. >> hard to blend in.
