during t coursof the game. definitely bundle up for that. we are talking about the big temperature changes as we go through thanksgiving week. phil and jc? phil: thank you. new at 5:30, the mbta is debating moral, religious and social issues. as janet wu reports, the vote came after screaming and anger at the mbta board meeting. reporter: this is the ad in the davis square station that brought dozens of people to the board meeting. so many that dozens of others couldn't get in. >> these ads make me feel unsafe. they make me feel scared. we don't want boston to be the reporter: jewish advocates were irate their ads were rejected by the mbta last year. the team backed by two judges said they were demeaning to a certain group. >> they must not be intimidated by radicals. it must now do the decent thing. it must take down this lethal ad today.

nasty when the sponsors of the ad got to the podium. >> my father was a jewish survivor of the refugee. it was worse. >> the ad is 100% factual. reporter: the aclu argued the palestinian ad is legal urging the board not to ban the controversial ads. >> if you don't like it, look away. if you are angry, put up another ad. the board decided to ban all political ads and any ad pushing an economic, moral or social issue. >> the speech at issue is obviously offensive to some riders of the t who are a captive audience. reporter: they say the new policy is legal and consistent with policies in new york and chicago transit systems. it takes affect december 1st and it will also apply to all animal cruelty ads.

phil? phil: a maine woman who admitted to stabbing a stranger to death in a supermarket will spend the rest of her life in prison. connor mcallister pled guilty to killing 59-year-old wendy boudreau last summer. mcallister said she was angry with life and had gone to the store to kill, quote, several random people. jc: a man is under arrest for a deadly hit-and-run. he is charged with vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of a fatal accident. early sunday morning several vehicles were involved in a pile up on i-91. police say jeremy ramos stopped to help the victims, but was then hit and killed by a car that kept going. garcia was the driver and was arrested last night. jc: senator gene shaheen wants to set up an emergency plan for the opioid crisis. it would go to the department of health and human services and it would funnel money to states for prevention treatment and recovery programs.

the fund is needed to treat a crisis that is worsening every day. phil: there are new fears that intelligence reports on the u.s.-lead fight against isis were doctored to present a better picture of u.s. progress. that's the stunning allegation that the pentagon's inspector general is now investigating. the president arrived in washington and amid growing fears about the terrorist threat of isis he is confronted with yet another troubling report and this time about the very intelligence he has been receiving. >> one of the things i insisted on the day i walked into the oval office was that i don't want intelligence shaded by politics. i don't want it shaded by the desire to tell a feel good story. we can't make good policy intelligence. >> now fears the intelligence coming out of central command in both syria and iraq may have been altered to present a more optimistic picture of the

we will start south of the city where you can see it is a 34-minute ride from mass avenue to route 3. north, same thing a half hour from upper deck to 128. out west on the pike, 24 minutes and building from i-93 to newton corner. 128 backed up heading southbound. 52 minutes. this is a big back up. the western tolls to 495 is almost an hour drive time right now. once you get on 495 the stretch between the mass pike and 290 looks okay heading southbound, but it is backing up heading northbound.

we are starting out cold to begin with and there is still wind around. in general the winds will become more of a factor. 29 for the game time temperature, but falling deeper into the 20s in the course of the game. you can have windchills in the teen and midto upper 20s. if the winds go calm that helps a little bit, but then the temperature can free fall closer to 20 degrees. no matter how you slice it it will be cold for the patriots game. these are the temperatures to expect. look at the 28 in boston. that's interesting. so far the coldest boston has been has been 31 on november 18th. so this looks like the coldest night of the season. and if you are wondering about records no where near that. the record low is in boston 1880 and 11 degrees. we won't be anywhere close that in boston. a bit of a bounce back, but

there will be patchy clouds for part of the day, but that should give way to complete sunshine later on. but look at this. after the chilly weather today, tonight, tomorrow, look what happens by the time we get to friday. boston's high of 42 tomorrow could be replaced by, yes, a 62 on friday. worcester's high could be replaced by a 59 on friday. we will really see dramatic temperature changes this week because we have cold temperatures and it will allow the warmer air that is now starting to return to the midwest to move into our area. cold tomorrow to start and then a high of 42. cold to start on wednesday and a high of 45. the temperatures start out around the freezing mark. by the time we get to the game we should be up around 40. by the end of the game it is around 50 and some of us could see the 50s in the afternoon. the warmest day is friday. the milder weather is earlier in the day. there are showers and periods of rain and turning colder
