officers petrone the area where the guts -- officers patrolled the area. police say there was a type of private functioning that was happening at who is on first. they don' t know if that had anything to do with those high school football games. right now the suspect is still on the loose. >> it was a chaotic scene. several hundred people fleeing . you could not pick up who was who. what is good is we are going to be gleaning video footage from all the cameras. antonin: police are asking the people who could' ve witness this if they have cell phone video. there is another high school football game here at fenway park at 9:00 this morning. boston police say they do not know how long this area will be blocked off.

record-breaking crowds of up to 3 million people are expected today for the annual macy' s thanksgiving day parade. the city says it' s deploying more officers at the annual event than ever before. randy? randy: this is what you will see if you' re heading to the wrentham outlets tonight. wrentham police say there will be significantly enhanced security on the busiest shopping day of the year. similar to last year there will , be uniformed officers with long guns undercover officers trained in behavioral observation and officers with k9' s trained to detect explosives. emily: right now police are investigating an assault that left a framingham state university student unconscious and bloody on main street. the 21-year-old was found on the ground early wednesday morning with lacerations on his face and injuries to his nose. people who attended a nearby house party told police the victim was drunk and had been told to leave after punching a hole in the wall. a police officer is recovering after he was struck by a hit and run driver in worcester. sky 5 over the scene wednesday on grafton street.

the officer was working a detail when he was hit. he was taken to the hospital with a minor injury and released. randy: angered over the murder of an unarmed black man protesters in chicago plan to take their demonstrations to the city' s biggest shopping district , michigan avenue on black friday. the fatal shooting of 17-year-old laquan mcdonald happened over a year ago but murder charges against the police officer came just this week. mcdonald was shot 16 times in 15 seconds. emily: former lawrence mayor william lantigua is out of surgery after being injured in an accident in the dominican republic. according to the eagle tribune details about the accident and , his injuries are unclear this morning. lantigua has been spending a lot of time in the d.r. where he lived before he moved to the u.s. as a teenager. randy: the new hampshire prep school grad convicted of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old classmate says he' ll appeal to the state' s highest court. owen labrie was 18 at the time of the 2014 assault at st. paul'

s school in concord. his lawyer says the trial judge shouldn' t have allowed a felony count of using a computer to lure the girl. they are also challenging whether labrie should have been ordered to register as a sex offender for life. the family of a man killed in a freak accident in natick will gather for thanksgiving in his memory. 73-year-old ken mcdonald was the beloved father of six -- father of six, grandfather of five and married to his wife for 43 years. the vietnam war vet was run down when a driver lost control in the parking lot of a shopping center. witnesses say the car hit a curb , went airborne, then hit 3 men walking out of a tool store. >> it was going at a high speed and swerving. he did hear screeching. -- you could hear screeching. >> it is tough to see people dying. randy: two pedestrians who survived suffered critical injuries.

injured. emily: knew this morning, -- new this morning, boston mayor marty walsh tells the herald he was caught off guard over concerns tied to the indycar race coming to boston. the boston convention and exhibition center says a crash could cause catastrophic damage to the structure of the center. mayor walsh says previously no one has brought those concerns to the city. a judge says he won' t take long to rule on whether fan duel and boston-based draftkings can stay in business in new york. a hearing was held yesterday. new york' s attorney general says the companies are operating illegal gambling businesses in violation of state laws. lawyers for the companies say the contests are games of skill and are permissible under the law. randy: patriots fans scammed out of tickets for which they had paid. it cost them hundreds of dollars. but they managed to turn the tables on the craigslist scam artist. sean phipps was trying to take his son who has cerebral palsy to the pats game. once he found out the tickets were fake, he had to spend

a man in his 20' s was shot and killed overnight. those gunshots rang up around were clearing out. police officers heard the shots. respondent to who -- they responded to whose is on first. two other people were shot and they were taken to the hospital. there were -- there was some who is on first. they are not sure if it had anything to do with the shooting or the high school football games going on at fenway park last night. there is another high school football game starting at 9:00 this morning. police say they will keep this area locked off as long as they need to do so. once again, one person was killed and a suspect is still on the loose this morning. we are live in boston.

security to be much tighter. emily: right now a nursing home assistant has lost his license to practice in new hampshire after he allegedly sexually assaulted an 80-year-old woman in his care. the assault allegedly took place at the bel-air nursing and rehabilitation center in goffstown. the ag' s office says the elderly victim has alzheimer' s and dementia. according to testimony from a nursing board hearing another nursing assistant found timothy morrissey doing something inappropriate with the woman and told him to stop. his license has been permanently revoked. at this time no criminal charges , have been filed. randy: a store in boston' s chinatown is shut down. its owners accused of selling counterfeit and stolen items. the owner and two employees of my tan fashion are the first arrests under a new law targeting organized retail crime. prosecutors say the owner would actually request certain items be stolen from other stores so she could re-sell them in her store.

granite state health officials approved linda horan' s application for an identification card a day after a court granted her emergency request and ordered the state to review her application. the state had argued that issuing horan a card before the first four dispensaries open next year would undermine its need to control marijuana distribution. emily: a dispute at boston children' s hospital over a popular garden. the hospital is planning a $1.5 billion clinical building to replace the half acre prouty garden. that willis an enclosed green area and some patients and staff have protested the loss. the hospital says the planned clinical space is essential and there will be a new rooftop garden. critics call it short sighted. >> at best, i feel it is going to solve our space problem for 10 or 20 years. then we are going to be back where we are start -- back where
