jc: new pictures from a security scare at the white house. these are photos of a ends jumper wrapped in an american flag. the secret service says agents quickly caught the man, but it forced the white house into lockdown, which has since been lifted. agents say nobody was ever in any danger. reid: the former cop charged with faking a shootout and bomb scare is dead. the 24-year-old was found by another person living at the home. there are no signs of foul play. johnson was indicted just last week on charges stemming from a bomb threat, the same day he allegedly staged a shootout with a nonexistent driver in september. jc: the roads are pretty busy for a thanksgiving at this hour. not everybody is sitting home in front of the television stuff

they are going for the spots. jc: the fact that you are delivering such mild weather, i think it' s going to be flooded. danielle: you see behind me, the season a lot of spots. spots. 58 degrees in boston. 54 degrees in keene. upper 50' s and plymouth and nantucket, so obviously, the turkey is a very happy camper today. we' re starting to see temperatures drop off a touch. back in the 40' s in boston, but in the 30' s in orange where they are under clear skies. as temperatures start to drop, i do think some low-level clouds or fog will begin to develop, and there could be patchy, dense fog overnight. be aware of that if you are headed out first thing to do some shopping tonight. you can see temperatures are

but we are watching colder air trying to work its way into chicago. obviously, it' s a cold front, an area of low pressure headed our direction. we will talk about how much rain to ask that, when it get here and the cooldown that will follow. reid: holiday meals just wrapping up, football games are over, so the attention turns to shopping. black ride a deals starting in just hours, and shoppers will see more than just deals this year. -- black friday deals starting in just hours. sarah: after the terror attacks in paris, police are beefing up security here at the outlets, and shoppers tonight will definitely notice. >> we are not going to be the ones who get caught off guard. sarah: this is an example of what shoppers will he tonight, a heavier than usual police presence.

this year, security is being increased even more at the midnight agnes shopping event in light of the paris attacks. everything. the number of uniformed and explosive canine units. sarah: what makes the small different from other venues that are also increasing security is that there is an international clientele here. it is actually marketed as an international tourist destination. there will be busloads of people coming directly from airports in boston as well as rhode island. jc: black friday deals are hampshire. more than 100 people wrapped new hampshire. doors open at 5:00 p.m.. and missing a turkey dinner is worth it if they can snag

something before the crowds tomorrow. >> every year, there' s always great savings, but i love the experience. a lot of people coming back talking, discussing. i love being social with people. i think that' s the most fun part. >> it' s a family tradition. we' ve been doing it since i was, like, seven. >> officials at the mall of new hampshire say they expect even bigger crowd down last year. russian president vladimir putin says he is ready to cooperate with the u.s.-led coalition battling isis two weeks after the paris attacks. he made the comments after a visit with french president francois hollande in moscow. russia will work with france in the u.s. on selecting isis targets in syria, but he' s also standing firm, saying syria must decide the fate of its president. the u.s. and france say assad must go. belgium is still on alert for a terror strike. the alert level has been lowered

a notch. an attack is no longer considered imminent. the alert has been downgraded to possible and likely p the move comes as belgians raid three locations they say are linked to the paris attack. reid: a thanksgiving tradition continues -- a feast of generosity and a taste of community pride. the line was out the door. a free thanksgiving dinner, turkey with all the fixings, available for anyone and everyone who walk in the door. the restaurant owner has been doing this for 22 years just to give back to the community. there he is. he says he does this in memory of his late father who taught him that sharing is the way to get back thanks. a staff of volunteers serve more than 800 people. jc: an annual holiday tradition in boston, the thanksgiving tradition.

help serve the homeless. reid: the governor declared tomorrow green friday, saying it' s all about recognizing the contributions of christmas tree growers to the state economy. the governor is encouraging everyone to buy in massachusetts-grown tree this year. jc: it' s called dead man' s curve, a stretch of highway that has seen so many devastating wrecks, highway crews are working to improve safety after the latest last month. we talked to a woman keeping a close eye on the project. she knows the dangers all too well. >> when you see this after all these years, how do you feel? >> i' m thrilled, excited, but i want more. >> 18 years after a head-on crash that killed her husband and weeks after christina and her baby died in the same place,

>> it' s bad that they did not do it 18 years ago. i understand a started it and ran out of money, but they should have started that this curve. this should have been the main priority, and it wasn' t. >> her son was a healthy 10-year-old until that day when a driver who had been drinking and doing drugs hit the family car. his dad michael was gone in an instant. >> i look at that cross and tell my son i miss him and how much i love him and pray that i get through it. not a day goes by that i don' t think of him. >> when he cemented truck and chevy sedan collided head-on, she could not stay away. she was drawn to the scene and then to meetings to discuss enhanced safety. never saying i told you so, she promised to keep the pressure on. >> am hoping in three to five years, they can get this done. i will not stop fighting for this now.

reid: a permanent memorial for victims of the station nightclub fire is one step closer to reality. the memorial foundation has raised 1.3 million dollars after recently receiving several large donations, inching closer to the $2 million they need to complete it. a temporary memorial currently sits on the site with handmade crosses and personal mementos. 100 people died in that fire nearly 13 years ago. jc: they were promised quick action, that repairs to their apartments would be brief. dozens of residents are spending rooms. they are still wondering when they will go home. >> st. luke' s church in chelsea . >> this is wonderful for me and m grateful for the

thankful for the newest member of the donahue family set to arrive in april. the family already pet parents of a little girl. of course, we congratulate the donahue family on jc: this great news. jc:so wonderful. one healthy child and a second what else do you need? reid: maybe a boy. but you know. jc: he might be a little biased. i like girls. i like boys, too. not like that. i realize what i just said. temperature-wise today, we were warm. very nice weather. deny degrees. 58 degrees in boston. we actually are really warm for this month, running over three degrees above normal, and we will stay that way for tomorrow, but didn' t temperatures start to take a nosedive.

tomorrow, record highs are 66 in worcester and 72 in boston. not going to necessarily shatter any records, but we will be pretty close in some spots. that' s really the last day of the mild air. saturday and sunday. it' s all associated with this storm system out in the midwest. rain showers from chicago back through kansas, oklahoma. you see this dark purple area -- that' s actually an ice storm warning and winter storm warning for parts of the area. we will actually be on the warmer side of this one, so when he gets to us, it will be in the form of rain. as you look a satellite and radar, not much is going on. just a couple of clouds. as we head into the evening hours and overnight, low-level clouds will work their way in, so there will be some patchy areas of fog developing overnight. temperatures falling to 49 in boston. overnight, we will stay probably in the 30'

s and orders with mostly cloudy skies. tomorrow, we will warm up once again, even though we have clouds in the morning. i do think we will see more sunshine by lunchtime or so, and then through the afternoon. temperatures will be in the low 60' s . upper 50' s in and around worcester county. in fact, your 12-our timeline looks like this. we will warm to about 54 by lunchtime. upper 50' s for the afternoon, pushing near 60 degrees. of the same thing. the cape and islands seeing the s for it' s a mild day and also a bit today. southwest wind pumping anywhere from 10 to 20 miles per hour. we are mild this evening and tomorrow evening, and here comes in. a couple of hit or miss showers saturday morning to wake up to,

and through the afternoon, this may take a little longer to pass through, so because of that, i' m leaving in chances for showers throughout the afternoon into early evening on saturday. behind it, cooler air is going to work in throughout the day. not talking about much rain. only about .1 inch in most spots, so not much at all, although anything we can get is welcome. as we go through the next several days, do want to talk about those chances for showers. you can see light rain showers in the morning becoming more steady, maybe, in the afternoon. notice by 2:00 or so, starting to blossom, and they continue through the early evening hours some clouds around on sunday morning, and then we will also see chilly air move in as we we warm up and have good chances for rain. mike: welcome back.
