multiple agencies are working to provide intelligence that would and would prevent a terror event or mass shooting here. the governor telling us that just before the acts in paris, there have been discussions between federal, state, and local law enforcement on a daily basis. those discussions meant to provide communications among agencies to better know what' s happening, and to better prepare for a number of different scenarios that we could face. those talks are ongoing as is the city and state. >> well, we stepped up presence after paris at any big event and as i said earlier that' s , going to continue to be the case at least through the new year, and certainly the level of conversation that' s going on between federal, state, and local law enforcement and security people is ongoing and constant.

boston area. this is moving out, so we will be light -- clear tonight for holiday lights. the wind will be gusting and the 30' s now, and will stay in the 30' s through this evening. >> jurors have the day off in the murder trial of philip chism after touring the murder scene at danvers high school yesterday. they saw the bathroom where teacher colleen ritzer was raped and murdered, and the woods where her body was found. chism admits to the killing but claims he was insane at the time. yesterday, a child psychiatrist took the stand. the meeting today between the judge and trial teams is centered around another medical expert that the defense wants to call to the stand. >> new this noon, a rehoboth woman is on trial for the 2010 death of her toddler son. kimberly peno is accused of beating the boy after drinking and smoking crack cocaine. yesterday, her husband took the

trying to resuscitate the boy and heard her say she was going to, " do a lot of time for this." peno has pleaded not guilty and claims her husband is responsible for the boy' s death. also new, the new hampshire man charged with killing his parents before triggering a nationwide manhunt is sentenced. today, matthew dion pleaded guilty to arson and second-degree murder for 2014 then setting their house on he was caught months later in florida. dion was sentenced to 60 years to life in state prison. >> new today, an arlington woman faces a judge, accused of scamming an elderly woman out of more than $100,000. newscenter 5' s todd kazakiewich is live outside cambridge district court in medford with more on this. todd? todd: the arraignment happened a few months ago and that woman who is accused of scamming an 84-year-old out of 100,000

this picture, snapped today by the mount washington observatory, shows gusty winds blowing and drifting the newly-fallen snow there. it is only a matter of time. >> there is some white and blue to our north. the ski areas are going, finally. cindy: there is going to be some accumulating snow in northern maine but nothing here. we are seeing the wind and it is starting to pick up. could see gusts of 40 to 50 miles per hour, and that is going to knock the wind chill into the 30' s. be prepared for the southern feel of december -- sudden feel of december. still feeling like close to 40 warmer. in
