he is charged with lying to federal investigators and being a felon in possession of a firearm. the former u.s. army reservist accused of stealing the weapons that you see on the screen allegedly brought them to james to sell them, including m11 pistols. 16 weapons were taken from the u.s. army reserve armory in worcester last months. federal investigators say james sent text messages on his phone asking people if they were looking to buy guns. james is expected to appear in federal court tomorrow. right now. if it feels chilly, just wait. mike: that was winter. after this, it is going to be today was 41. 40. closer to where we are supposed to be this time of year. check out the temperatures right now we are starting to cool off.

where a fire killed nine people in november 1952. a mother and 8 children were killed in that fire 60 years ago. these photos were sent to us. the survivors of that fire where the father and a brother who were working in a factory at the time. as well as a married daughter who lived elsewhere. today the granddaughter of that survivor came here to the home. >> how does that happen twice? it is just unbelievable. julie s place. her grandmother cannot be here so she came instead of her to share some solace with this tragedy more than half a century later. reid:

[coughs] that is all i can type. reid: the driver of a car that ended up dangling over the charles river is facing charges. his car went through a barrier in cambridge near longfellow bridge yesterday. police say the 22-year-old boston man has been charged with negligent operation over motor vehicle and destruction of property. no one in the car was hurt and they are trying to figure out why that driver lost control. tonight a memorial has been set up for the teenager who was killed in a shooting and roxbury. the victim, a 17-year-old deandre king was shot. police in brockton say the

building has been charged with operating under the influence. a 20-year-old due in court tomorrow. he was speeding down main street and blew out two tires, missed the turn and then flipped over before hitting the building. police say he also took a swing at an off-duty dur nurse. heather: the coe eo of air france says the device discovered on the plane was a fake bomb. it was headed to paris this morning when they had to make an emergency landing in kenyan. there were 459 passengers on board. everyone evacuated safely. head of the airline says that device was made of cardboard, paper and a household timer. commitment 2016 coverage. donald trump under attack from the democrats. the candidates taking aim at the front runner last night in a debate you saw on channel 5. as devin dwyer shows us, trump is firing back. reporter: after the democratic

heather: the man who loaned the gun to the boston marathon bomber' s will be sentenced this week. he has pled guilty to drug and gun charges. during the marathon attack trial, he told the court he gave the gun to dzhokhar tsarnaev. two months before the bombings and prosecutors say the gun was later used to murder sean collier. right now a manhunt -- a man hurt in an explosion at a new hampshire tire shop is being treated in the boston area.

in salem was killed. 22-year-old justin allman was in the process of filling a large truck tire when it blew up. he suffered severe head injuries. >> inflation may have been too much for what the tire could handle. but that is all we know at this point. heather: osha investigators are checking into the shop. reid: in california, a man were shot and killed by police in a police brought the man to the hospital after he attacked them during a disturbance call. once they got into the hospital, the man reportedly tried to drag one of the officers weapons. e.r. workers say attempts to restrain the man with a stun gun were unsuccessful and that is 11 of the officers fired. he is the 20th person shot and this year. police in texas investigating a fatal crash that involved a greyhound bus.

morning after the car she was driving stall the highway and was hit by the bus. a dozen passengers on board. the occupant of the vehicle was hurt. the bus was heading from dallas to amarillo. heather: thousands of cases of dumped chocolates pulled from walmart shelves. the bags of chocolate assortment snowflakes can contain other candies and that puts customers with allergies at risk. the 24 hours snowflakes are sold only at walmart. anyone with allergy concerns to return the product to the store for a full refund. that is unbelievable. mike: incredible money. and not a bad day to go to the movies. kind of cool outside. but boy, the next few days are going to be so mild. we have to contend with some rain as well. check out the high temperatures today. in the 30' s. 41 degrees. this is pretty typical for this time of year here but look at this month. above normal. belmon -- the month 10 degrees above normal. this is going to smash records at this case. if you look at these between years -- we are labeling out the warmest on record. 2/10 of a degree. right now we are running over five degrees warmer then we were supposed to be. with the warm weather we have coming this week, we are going to smash it and make it one of the all-time warmest december' s ever recorded. and winter arrives this week. 11:48 p.m. we refer to it as the darkest

the sunset is getting later. only by a few seconds each day. right now in boston, 40 degrees spray southwest wind at 10 miles not. that southwest wind is going to keep our temperatures from bottoming out tonight. that is why tomorrow is going to be with temperatures in the 50' s. right now we have readings that have dropped in many locations down to the 30' s. a few upper 30' s, a few lower 30' s and a few clouds sitting out there as well but there is not much. this is not very organized. you can see the stars right through this stuff. it is very thin. you can look to the west. look at all this cloud cover. but look what is missing -- there is no rain. there. it is just cloud cover we are talking about. as that warm air comes in you will notice more clouds to mop it tonight, mostly clear, chilly temperatures, 24 degrees. morrow, sunshine in the morning. the afternoon has cloud cover -- tomorrow, sunshine in the morning. 50-55 degrees.

speaking of tomorrow, check out those high curvatures. mole 52 degrees for the high temperature. worcester might be under that 50 degree mark but close to it. t worry. you get into the 50' s for you see the cloud cover. and even some rain as we start the week. especially wednesday night. south shore, you' re going to get s to mop it perhaps warmer as we head down tuesday, 56. wednesday, by the way, that is not the warmest day of the week. the warmest day is coming up christmas eve day. on thursday, we are talking about some really mild temperatures. that is going to be breaking down over the next seven days. tomorrow, as i mentioned, the winds strong. it will be windy. the winds will be strong pretty much all day. you can see these wind gusts, 50-25 miles per hour. they will peak off in the afternoon and diminish tomorrow night.

reid: with the democratic debate out of the way, republican candidates are back in the political spotlight in new hampshire. heather: governor chris christie says -- showtime is over. kristi started his day meeting with hopeless -- homelss elss vets in manchester when asked about last night' s debate, governor christie wondered who is picking up the tab for the democratic proposals. christie;a it will be fascinating to see how they will more taxes on corporations, more taxes on the middle class. so the american people are going to have a real clear chores come -- choice come next fall. carson was a guest at a town hall meeting in king. the keene state college was very much -- crw wods. carson criticized the leading democratic candidates.

son: bernie sanders and hillary clinton will tell you that the income gap is spreading because of those evil rich people. if we take their money and redistribute it, everything will be just fine. of course, does not work that way. reid: carson says despite his declining poll numbers, he is the best choice for the job. heather: the democrats are out on the campaign trail after last nights debate in manchester, new hampshire. there is an issue for them -- the schedule of future debates. reporter: it did not take long for the sanders campaign to regain access to a crucial voter database after the dnc says the campaign running acquired information gathered by hillary clinton' s team. >> they finally gave us the information we have been asking for. so we could begin to assess the depth of the breach. reporter: sanders filed suit in federal court friday seeking to regain access to its own voter data. debbie wasserman schultz spoke out saturday about the deal and why a block was issued in the first place.

the winds were out of the west-southwest and are starting to get more of a southwesterly direction. yesterday they were breezy to the northwest. now it is this high pressure the east. flow. that will help us warm up. really thin stuff. not much of an impact. hears away the clouds look through the overnight hours. a few clouds in the morning but you will notice more clouds tomorrow afternoon. a little rain, just some clouds moving in, along with mild temperatures. the look at what the temperatures will do tomorrow. they will climb into the 50' s but that is just the beginning. by the time we get to thursday, we are talking about temperatures in the mid-60' s. but it comes with some rain and i will show you when that rain moves through in a few moments. reid: a new bedford man facing animal cruelty charges. he is doing court to market police arrested danny santos after they found dead animals and skeletal remains on his property.

police were at his home as part of a hit-and-run investigation. they did find a car they were looking for at santos' s home. heather: n nacho cheese and peppers led police. the car had been vandalized it was covered in cheese. surveillance video at a nearby convenience store shows robert -- purchasing the alleged snacks just before the crime happens. he was arrested a short time after. a suspect arrested in armed robbery in brewster being eyed in a dozen armed robberies. michael/injured or was arrested last week for the crime -- michael/injure - -schelsinger was arrested. the fbi was searching for a serial robber who fit his description. he will be back in court tomorrow. th

last year, we are having this vexing conversation last year. we had almost no snow and we know what happened after that. snow. most of that fell in november. same thing with worcester. typically by this time of year we should have already had a half a foot of snow. re talking about white christmases, to the north, it is likely. around boston, we do not get that many white christmases it only happens 90% of the time. time. i do not even know if they are going to get a white christmas. there. record for christmas day is 65. there is the way it stacks up. 30' s. lot of people forget. 59 degrees for the high temperature on christmas but he never, it was pouring rain christmas eve. this temperature happened in the

sunrise as the temperature slid downhill all day that day. i think this christmas is going to feel a lot nicer. the warmest day will be christmas eve day. 64 degrees. possibly a record. there will be a few showers but not a lot. it is going to be breezy. as we head for christmas day, a sunny day, 56. we may see a few showers on saturday but it is still 50. this time of year we are supposed to be 40 degrees for the high temperature. that is where we are at now. winds out of the southwest at 10 windchill of 33. we have not had to talk about windchill at all. yesterday was breezy but today not much wind. he there are the current readings. upper 20' s toward the berkshires. a few clouds as well. that cloud cover is very thin. there is not much rain. we get a lot of crowds in hit -- clouds in your tomorrow. even the shower and tuesday' s forecast, i do not think much is going to happen. once we get into wednesday night, it is more likely we' ll see some rain. tonight, clear and chilly.

afternoon clouds, breezy and mild. 50-55. when you get a wind is strong, even though it is very warm, it may not feel quite like 55 degrees. you need the wind to die down and have some sunshine. hear our those high temperatures tomorrow. bedford should be 53 degrees. -- here are those high temperatures. start off with readings in the 30' s. as you look through worcester county, most of the high temperatures upper 40' s to low 50' s. looking at the south shore, you will see nicely into the 50' s. in bridgewater, he was start at 36 degrees. see how you warm up to the day? 53 degrees of the afternoon. cape maybe cooler because we have a breeze out of the southwest blowing across relatively cool ocean water. that will keep the temperatures back a couple of degrees. let me break it down in the 7 day forecast. tomorrow, it is on the windy side. 52 degrees. tuesday as i mentioned we do have some showers in the forecast that they are really scattered. hear is the map at 9:00 in the

you know there was never any doubt that rob gronkowski would play in this game today but following the death of a family friend earlier in the week there was some question as to what emotional state he might be in. gronk used the cespedes inspiration and dedicated to the game -- t game two is front. he-- use the sadness as inspiration. close family friend. score at the beginning for him. so, it was amazing to do that. people are always dealing with some stuff. it is a long season. you' type of adversity. think mental toughness is important to the sport to try to is going on on the side when you go out and play week because you only have three hours to put your performance can do.
