suspects were arrested this morning. they are being held without bail at this hour. the bristol county district attorney, thomas quinn, was in court to handle the arraignments personally. he says that they are responsible for the murder of joseph dugan back in 2010. quinn says the murder seem to set off acts of retaliation. state police investigators got a break back in march when bates' uncle made statements man. phil? phil: an addiction outreach and recovery program, modeled on successful programs from right here in the bay state. police are partnering with an organization that helps the

heather: new trouble tonight for chipotle. the centers for disease control say it' s looking into 5 more cases of food-borne illness linked to the mexican food chain. the cdc says the recent cases appear to have been caused by a different bacteria than the e. coli outbreak. those cases are also unrelated to the norovirus outbreak at a chipotle in boston. new cases have popped up in oklahoma, kansas, and north dakota. phil: a montana teen is behind bars tonight after threatening to shoot a facebook friend for posting details about the new "star wars" movie. police say 18-year-old arthur roy sent the friend a picture of himself with a gun and threatened to shoot the boy at school. roy became angry when he read

an online conversation. the threat prompted a montana high school to go into lockdown after students really thought roy might follow through. heather: the grinch tried to still christmas in connecticut, but he only brought out the spirit of giving. these bikes are among hundreds of toys that new haven high school students donated to underprivileged kids. the students had planned on selling these bikes. when they learned what happened, they decided to give them away. >> when i heard about it, i would not like the way i would feel. >> i don' t like having kids pulled down on christmas. heather: the collection is still going on by the way until all of the stolen toys are fully replaced. phil: it'

especially on the roads. we are enjoying warm temperatures here, but many other parts of the country are experiencing snow and other severe weather. a wet and soggy start for a busy holiday travel week. more than 100 million travelers are expected to hit the road, the most ever. and severe weather is not helping at all. fog may have led to chain reaction crashes on interstate 49 in arkansas, killing at least three people. in parts of the west, it is slow going in the snow. so much so, washington state rescue teams have been searching for a missing hikers sense thursday. >> he could be in a tarp, just waiting for us. phil: this narrowly missed jamie harwood. chest but i was panicking area

that should be the warmest day, thursday, and the stretch. how about this? will this be the warmest december ever? i think it' s a great shot of happening. boston averaged 41 degrees -- really, since records have been kept, which is the late 1800s. look at this. we know we have mild weather coming through christmas. there' s not that much time left and really only one or two dubbed days -- or one or two days likely at the end of the year. it looks like it will be the warmest december on record. it might make it by a significant margin. a band of rain going around today and has given a quarter of an inch in much of the region. still raining though on the cape . that will take another hour or so to clear. there is another band developing along the gulf coast. this is out ahead of even warmer, more tropical air and this will come flying up the

tomorrow and tomorrow night. we could pick up an inch or more of rain in spots. this will be much more potent than the rain we have been that will be the record warmth. here comes the rain moving late tomorrow. oh, yeah, it does not look like it can be avoided. it is certainly mild enough now. it is 60 in some spots, and the springlike, rainy weather we have been experiencing. the skies clear, and as that happens, they may drop into the 40' s, 50' s. do watch for areas of fog because of all of the moisture hang around the ground level. we will make it into the 50' s. notice what happens. the winds will turn into the east. it may be a few degrees warmer and then the wet weather will start arriving.
