phil: a massive search for a baby who witnesses claimed was thrown from a bridge in haverhill tonight turned out to be a hoax. police searched the merrimack river for about two hours after they say a woman and her daughter reported that a man had thrown that baby from a bridge. after lengthy questioning, police determined they were lying. no word yet on any possible charges. erika: taking a live look at boston on this christmas eve, a beautiful sight! our temperatures today, not exactly a winter wonderland. stormteam 5's harvey leonard joins me now. record highs today, harvey. harvey. unbelievable. it may feel like a summer night after lake summer ta. here it is going into christmas day. anyway, there are a couple of things we have to be concerned about. one is fog. some areas have a lot of pog. others are not. there is a dense fog advisory but there will be other areas impacted where the visibility could can be a quarter mile or less.

downey jr., a pardon. california's jerry brown granted downey the pardon for a 1996 drug conviction. in total, downey has served 15 months in prison for a string of drug-related offenses. he finished his parole in 2002. the pardon, what's become somewhat of a christmas eve tradition in the golden state, removes a black mark from the actor's past. downey is one of 91 people pardoned today. erika: the season of giving helping a family and community heal. acts of kindness. it has been a heartbreaking week in the town of westport. a little boy killed when a home went up in flames. as our rhondella richardson reports, compassion is making this a very special christmas eve. rhondella: now they that i have is hope. the family asked us to not show the burn on the face but you can
