the biggest concern i have? this tuesday morning commute. slippery roads with snow and ice out there. you see the time line on this. doesn't really arrive until tomorrow night. but it has snow, rain, ice, a little bit of everything mixed in. i am looking for the snow to be an initial burst and then changing over to that rain the little more snow as you travel to the north. that's where the heavy total will be. in the meantime are we're watching the last of the rain cull through. the cold air is moving in and you are going to in the the chill in the air tomorrow. i'll have much more detail in a few minutes. phil? phil: breaking news from maledon now where police are investigating a hit and run. a woman in her 70's hit in the crosswalk just before 58. a s.u.v. was seen leaving the

the woman was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. police are asking anyone with information to contact the maledep police. right now, debit cards from the quincy credit union are shut down until tomorrow. the credit union says it's because of fraudulent tiftd -- activity and some customers have seen their accounts trained. newscenter 5's juli mcdonald is leeve in quincy with new information about the scheme. juli: -- they said 600 could have been compromised. but that number could change. we did speak to more than one customer confused as to why they couldn't make deposits. >> hi $82 in my checking account. juli: many quincy credit union customers are concerned after

this woman made a deposit and noticed $500 missing the bank officials worked for hours trying resolve the issue the the 670 compromised cards remain locked. this man learned from another customer that $1,000 was stolen from her account. the bank official thinks everyone -- the customer thinks everyone should have been called or email. >> wouldn't everybody? of course. she's elderly, on a fixed income and that's her whole life savings. >> bank officials said at this time they believe bank a.t.m. skimmers were used. >> maybe you think a small town credit union probably isn't object radar but obviously

a four-alarm fire destroyed a hose on dorchester road last night. today, firefighters presented a flag to a daughter at the funeral of her father >> it was in a closet that had smoke damage and water but the fire didn't touch it. she was hysterical, crying, laughing. pretty joyous. >> firefighters say the fire was started badeflammable liquid too close to a burning candle. the good news is everyone made it out safely. and back in business -- the chipotle restaurant blamed for that are e coley outbreak is back open. the question tonight, will customers forgive and forget something >> the chipotle in cleveland circle is closed for business at this hour after a quiet day.

mike, this weather is beautiful. >> wish it could last 365 days a year. hey, look at the numbers we had again today. 53 in boston. the high temperature. 20 times this month we have been above the 50-degree mark. that's it. but that's a wark -- record. this december going down as the warmest on record. why is it changing? look at the northwest wind, rather busy out there, 17 miles an hour ash -- and pushing the temperatures down. bedford at 37. then you look down toward the cape. cold air hasn't quite gotten there yet. but today, temperatures near 60 degrees. as that cool air comes in, it's dry and pushing the rain on out of here. a few showers on nantucket and those are quickly exiting as well. but the cold air is going to be the story the tomorrow it does not warm up. we're going to hold temperatures pretty much into

lucky to get above the freezing mark. the snow comes in after midnight tomorrow night the let's gave detailed time line. first, remember we have cold air in place. so when we start to throw cold air and moisture in, it starts to fall as snow. 3:00 in the morning, then we've got mix. a little bit of freezing rain and rain down to the south. 3:00 a.m. it looks like this. 6:00 a.m. the commute starts and this is what we have going on. snow falling and a lot of mix as well. rain confined to the south coastal areas. by 9:00 we're starting to push a little rain right on the doorsteps of boston and that's what will happen as we head through the late morning hours. keep in mind it is going to be cold on the ground out here and we throw some rain on top tv

rain as well. the evening commute it's pretty much over and this all end up as pretty much rain. the temperatures do not bottom out so if you do not get out there and shovel it right away, a lot of this will be washed away. it won't be dramatically warmer but just a few degrees. but by 9:00 a.m. we're talking snow to sleet mixture and by noon, rain at the coast. inland is where we're going to see the coldest air. otherwise, around boston 1 to 3 and i'm leaning toward the low end of than at this point. just a coating down to the south. but that cold air at the surface and warm air aloft could create slippery conditions. a little bit of freezing rain possible outside of 495. once we get into the evening hours i think we will be perfectly fin but there is that

here is your 7-day forecast. temperatures holding pretty much into the 30's tomorrow and i breezy one at that. tuesday the snow, then ice, to pain -- rain. wednesday is a sunny day but wednesday night, a new batch of rain coming in. this one is warm enough that it is going to be falling in the form of rain. then some clearing going late in the day to thursday. then look at the temperature. 40 degrees again already the by the time we get to friday, it looked -- looks like are first night activity will be very nice and the first day of the new year also very nice. cooler temperatures then coming next weekend. by the way, the extended-extended forecast is looking a little bit on the chilly side. no warming going on at left at -- least the first part of the year.
