tracking new information as we get it. emily: right now a suspect is in police station. police say five attackers and two others were killed. this comes as indonesia was on high alert just last month. in 2002, hundreds were killed and an attack on bali. in 2009, jakarta was rocked by bombings at hotels. no specific group has claimed responsibility. the head of police suspects isis, saying the attackers seemed to be copying what happened in paris. emily: right now a suspect is in custody in the death of an

italy. ashley olsen was found in her rented florence apartment on saturday. police say she' d been strangled with a cord or rope and had bruises and scratches on her neck. italian news agencies say a senegalese immigrant was detained based on dna evidence taken from the scene. olsen, who' s a florida native, had been living in florence for 3 years. investigators say the suspect is known for being involved in the local drug scene. randy: right now, police are investigating the deadly shooting of a man in boston' s mission hill neighborhood. the eye' s frank holland is live at the scene with the bizarre details in the case. frank: boston police say they were initially called here to 55 fenwood road for an unknown medical condition. that' s when they found the victim. police arrived just before 7:40 last night at the apartment complex, where they found the man, believed to be in his 30' s. officers immediately blocked off the street. police interviewed potentially witnesses, and recovered evidence for hours. investigators are keeping tight-lipped about the incident,

involved. no word on any suspects or arrests. frank: police tell us they' re awaiting a search warrant, to continue the investigation this morning. randy: five investigates has learned police found dozens of weapons and some possible explosives in a home in ayer. several firearms were removed from the house on sandy pond road yesterday. the bomb squad also safely detonated some unknown devices. we' re told a man who lived in the home is hospitalized. no word on whether charges will be filed. emily: no injuries after a commuter rail train slams into an mbta bus. this happened last night on high street in medford. the lowell line was delayed up to 45 minutes last night, just after the rush hour commute. mbta police are investigating. the suspect in a deadly hit and run in dorchester will be arraigned today. 34-year-old melissa benedict of dorchester is accused of plowing into a construction worker on washington street.

speeding from the scene just the victim' s name has not been released. randy: a bill taking on opioid forward. but it does not include some controversial proposals. the house plan limits initial opiate prescriptions to a seven day supply. it would not allow doctors to commit patients involuntarily to drug treatment facilities for up considered an immediate danger to themselves. governor charlie baker wants to see that happen. the house and senate will now work merge their two bills, and send the plan to the governor. lawmakers are also considering new help for victims of sexual assault. the bill would establish a right to fair and efficient rape kit procedures, a trained sexual assault counselor, and for victims to receive information about their options and legal rights. the bill' s sponsor says one in five victims who report crimes

the world is moving to boston. general electric will soon call the seaport district home. the big announcement, all but securing a bright future for the rapidly growing neighborhood. the multi billion dollar company says it wants to be at the center of a digital ecosystem. it was also lured by tax incentives from the city and state, totaling nearly 150 million dollars. but the move brings promise of a much larger infusion of money into the local economy. >> it will help the area bring business down here. >> emily: the city hopes other companies will follow general electric' s lead. it' s unclear if g.e. will build its own tower, or move into one already under construction. randy: stories impacting your health this morning, 800 children in new hampshire have been told the vaccinations they got may be no good.

hepatitis, measles and other diseases were administered at alice peck day memorial hospital in lebanon over a 14-month span that ended last october. now, the hospital says the vaccines may have been improperly refrigerated. they won' t harm anyone, but they may not work. the hospital will re-vaccinate the children for free. the maker of a popular lip balm is blasting a lawsuit claiming the product made users lips bleed. a woman filed a class action lawsuit against eos lip balm saying it made her lips even drier followed by blisters and bleeding. the lawsuit claims many other consumers had similar reactions. the company issued a statement saying the lawsuit was quote without merit. emily: if you' re looking for the secret to long life you may have to look overseas. a new study finds that 5:00 regions have the highest concentrations of people 100 or older.

ll be sure to pass it along. antoinette antonio, newscenter 5. emily: more breaking news overnight, at least seven people are dead after terror attacks in downtown jakarta. that includes the suicide bombers who detonated themselves in the heart of the indonesian capital. police declared the siege over after two hours of gun battles. randy: also breaking this morning, an overnight fire is under investigation in taunton. at one point, flames were shooting through the roof of the multi-family home on pine street. no one was injured but at least one person did have to escape the flames. emily: right now a deadly shooting is under investigation in boston' s mission hill neighborhood. police say a man in his 30' s was found shot to death in an apartment complex. randy: right now we are hoping

player in the hospital. emily: the eyeopener' s todd kazakiewich is live in foxborough where we could get new details as early as today. todd: the foxborough town manager indicated that he may send out a press release on what officials call a sensitive issue. sports center 5 contributor chris gasper reporting a bad reaction to synthetic marijuana is what sent chandler jones to the hospital this weekend. according to a police log, jones was listed as a walk-in medical emergency sunday morning. he had come from his foxborough town house, just down the road. jones was then taken to the hospital as an officer checked on his home radioing in this, >> he was involved in class d delta. >> i don' t know why he would be doing something like that. a class d substance includes marijuana and other derivatives of it. jones has been practicing since monday morning.

as we get it. emily: this morning family members are remembering a grandmother struck and killed by a car in roslindale. 78-year-old slivia acosta was hit near her apartment on washington street tuesday night. her son said she was the center of the family, a mother of six, grandmother of 19 and great grandmother of six. the driver was charged with motor vehicle homicide and is free on bail this morning. randy: the springfield city council will tour the site for the mgm resort casino next week. the january 19 tour comes ahead of four public hearings this month, to review site plans and design changes for the project. some councilors and residents expressed concerns with the dramatic change of a 25-story
