erika: indonesian authorities say they are now in control after the hours long siege near a busy mall and they believe it was isys inspired. it started with an explosion at a starbucks in jakarta as gunmen attacked a nearby police station and a fierce gunbattle in several more explosions followed. five attackers and two others were killed. this comes as indonesia, the roles most populous muslim nation, was on high alert. last month, police foiled a plot and hundreds were killed in an attack on bali and they were rocked by deadly bombings and hotels. it' s not clear of any attackers and latest case got away. no specific group has claimed responsibility but the head of police suspects isys saying the attackers seem to be copying what happened in paris. emily: a suspect is in custody in the debt than an american woman killed in italy. ashley olsen was found at her rented florence apartment

cindy: it' s not the powerball but it' s something. it will turn milder tomorrow afternoon and that will set the stage for our next storm on saturday. it looks like mainly rain. so far this season, 1.2 inches of snow in boston. a typical winter at this point we have had over one foot. 15 degrees in worcester. lots of lower 20' s from the north shore down to the cape. the wind which was active yesterday are not active this morning. we have a couple of snow flurries on radar. it looks impressive but not all of this is reaching the ground. where it is in the berkshires, visibility is about three miles. the intensity is not that impressive but you may see some

west along 495 yard worcester and toward barry and down toward southbridge. some steadier snow looks to be targeting new york city. little disturbances are racing to us and it will have the risk for a few passing snow flurries midmorning. once we get toward lunchtime, the clouds will start to break up and i expect sunshine developing this afternoon. sunny this afternoon with temperatures near freezing at the coastline and upper 20' s through western hills. we will hold in the 20' s tonight and start to see some clouds and a shifting wind to the southwest as a warm front pushes in our direction. this area of low pressure down the coast is the one we' re watching friday into saturday. saturday morning, we should wake up to rain. it may get heavy near the coast line around lunchtime and it looks like it will shift offshore.
