jc: we begin with bob halloran, live in gillette stadium. reporter: chandler jones and the patriots strategize and planned this out. here is how it went down today. after practice, in which he did participate, the media is given 45 minutes of the patriot locker room. with under two minutes remaining, jones went to his locker, stood before the cameras, and answer just a few questions. >> why do you feel the need to apologize? >> i need to apologize to everyone. but right now, like i said, i made a mistake and each and this game with kansas city. reporter: that interview lasted jones did address the issue and

time ran out, he was not asked to respond to a barrage of questions and offered no details. will play ed, patriots. jc: he spoke shortly after police released the incident report early sunday morning. john atwater is live outside the police department without part of the story. reporter: this police report reveals that when chandler jones came over here to the police department half naked early sunday morning, he actually went to the back of the department. he got down on the ground and put his hands behind his head. this man stated "i' m chandler jones," into kept telling us that he had been told to come to our police station. that is the account of the officer who says chandler jones scurried to the police department parking lot, appearing to make a beeline for the department' s back door. it was just after 7:30 sunday morning. without warning or provocation, he got down on his knees and

it was like this man was trying to surrender. but officers say it was clear he was looking for help, into the report say he didn' t commit a crime. although appearing nervous and anxious, the individual was polite and cooperative. jones lives across the street from the police department and when an officer went to lock his door, he noted a smell. while in the house he noticed the smell of burnt marijuana. the patriots say chandler has missed practice, but beyond that, they are staying very quiet. >> there is nothing more important to me personally than the health and well-being of our players and sport people. reporter: and tonight, it is not clear who actually told chandler jones to come over here to the police department early saturday and sunday. there is no indication that anyone else was at his home. jc: there is concerning injury

he will have an update on newscenter 5 at 6:00. phil: a major system outage causing huge headaches at jetblue. travelers nationwide dealing with the delays. the call asked to form i -- nicole asked the farm estefan is live. reporter: everything is running smoothly at this hour. terminal c is running on time hours ago. a lot of folks showing up trying to check in, and they were getting a system shutdown for two hours today. that meant long lines. 31 flights delayed as a result, 21 incoming and 10 outbound. the check-in system was down for about two hours, but never shut down the process completely. passengers say it was slow going but the airline made adjustments to help out. >> i couldn' t check in before

>> my wife told me there was something wrong with the machines but i haven' t had the problems. reporter: if you are flying out, everything is running on time, want to call ahead and make sure. as to what caused the outage, looking into it. jc: bomb squad' s have finished searching a home. thousands of weapons and explosives have been found. we are live. reporter: jc, no one had seen the residence for days -- the resident four days. they got to the house across the street and called the bomb squad to remove an arsenal of weapons. >> i only knew he had guns, that is all. i thought he had like one gun. reporter: the neighbors had no idea there was so much weaponry,

the homeowner is described as a collector. >> a military collector with a lot of stuff in the house. it' s s hard to tell us it is demilitarized. the bomb squad can analyze it and make sure it is not life. reporter: the resident is said to have lived here most of his life. a neighbor says he once told her -- >> i have got a gun. if anyone comes on the property, i will shoot and ask questions later. reporter: first responders were neighbors -- >> stay inside the house. he got an arsenal. reporter: crews removed grenades, rocket launchers, lots of rifles, ammo. the house is said to be stuffed. >> oh, yes. he had lawnmowers and snowblowers. reporter: the homeowner is described as a veteran. he was in the hospital at the time, and the bomb squad will

phil: right now, a powerful fire under investigation. this is video of the flames as they ripped through that multifamily home on pine street overnight. six of the seven apartments were occupied at the time. no one was hurt, but a people are now displaced. investigators believe the fire started in the kitchen on the second floor. another fire to tell you about on neptune circle. flames were quickly knocked down around midnight. the arson squad was sent in. malfunctioning electrical circuits. appear to be the culprit. damages estimated at $50,000. jc: harvey joins us now. not much of a difference in temperatures today but at least there is less wind. harvey: you are right. what a big difference. look at the temperature. boston is 29, worcester at 23.

dorchester yesterday. 43-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. she was at the wheel of a vhs allegedly never stopped. she she heard a boom. she was pulled over 20 minutes later. phil: i sense is now claiming attacks in jakarta. the attacks happened at the police station and a starbucks. the attackers set up suicide bomber that engaged -- suicide bombs and engaged in gunfire. 20 people were injured. police in indonesia say the attacks mimic those of the november paris attacks. starbucks is closing all stores in jakarta until further notice. jc: an apology from one of the iran. >> it was a mistake. it was our fault and we

borderline, but with elevation, even the berkshires are very close to a tossup of getting snow and rain. we will see how it gets to work out. remote chance, but not impossible, for the hilly terrain of worcester county as well. if this doesn' t move along quickly, around lunchtime, it will shut off. but by the time the patriot game is starting, we are done with that and the skies will be clearing. of course if they win, we can look at the sky -- if they lose, you won' t care. it is lined up in the higher terrain. that is where you can explain most -- where you can expect most of the chelating snow. then some of this bitter cold air will be unleashed. let'

milder tomorrow, but it is wet for the first half of saturday with some snow in the higher terrain. a chilly day sunday, but the big change comes on monday. that is when the bitter cold air comes, a quick shot of snow, squalls or flurries early on monday and then the bitter cold comes in, with the coldest monday night, tuesday morning, possibly tuesday night. when we are finally done with that stretch, the storms will moderate a little bit toward the middle and latter part of next week. for the first half of next week will have the wind in the cold. it will get our attention. jc: got my attention. phil: the husband of celine dion has died. he had been battling throat cancer for some time. he was her manager for more than three decades. he was just 73 years old. the research shows the health warning labels on sugary drinks may steer parents away from buying them for their kids. in the study, 40% of parents chose a sugary drink after seeing warning labels while 60% chose the sugary option when not seeing it. researchers say that study suggest warning labels have the intended effect of lowering consumption. jc: it' s not new to us, but it
