with all of the wind. you can feel all of the cold and we have a wind advisory in affect for much of the area. harvey is talking single digits overnight. phil: 22 right now, harv, but it is gonna get worse. harvey: you are right. it is a combination of the two. 18 in worcester and we have these wind gusts enough to create a windchill of zero and 11 in boston. the wind advisory we are talking about will be in affect until 7:00 p.m. tomorrow. it goes into affect at 7:00 a.m. these are the actual temperatures you are waking up to tomorrow morning without the wind. about nine in worcester and 15 in boston and below zero in both locations. let's look at the weekend. it looks like there will be a potent storm in the ocean. if it does come close to us it looks like a significant hit

winds. if it takes the track a little more due east we wind up in the northern fringe and the amounts are not as significant. obviously you can't make it quite yet. it is clearly something to watch, a slow moving storm. much more to say as we go along. phil and jc? phil: harv, thanks. one man is dead after a standoff. jc: he argued with his wife and then barricaded himself in their home. reporter: the couple was known to argue, but police say this time it went too far. he fired at his wife's car while she and her two boys were inside. the 3-year-old twins were not hurt. the nearby residents were evacuated and he barricaded himself in the home.

the unfrozen waters. snow squalls and narrow and strong bands across new york state. some of the squalls getting into the birkshires. it is colder north and west and as you expect it is even alt colder as you head into canada and points north. we know we have a cold week and the coldest feeling, part of this, is going to be the next 24 hours. that's because of the combination of the wind and the cold. the temperature will relax a little bit meaning it will moderate slightly by the time we get to wednesday afternoon. but it is still below average. upper teens and low 20s and we have wind gusts 37 miles an hour and 30 in boston. creating a windchill and zero and worcester. that's going to go down and it will feel like below zero tomorrow morning. bundle the kids up and yourselves up. we have a wind advisory until 7:00 tomorrow. very windy and very cold day

we will be starting in the upper single digits and advancing to the upper teens around 20 for worcester and low to mid20s around boston. very cold all day. i'm jumping ahead because of the fact that this is a significant potential. uncertainty. look at the time period we are talking about. in the time period of saturday, saturday night, sunday morning that's the window of opportunity for this which will emerge into a strong coastal storm. a recipe that can produce storms here. astronomical high tides. concerns. talking about how much we can get out of this, it is way too soon for that. what i want you to know is there are two scenarios here. if this takes a track that keeps it cold here and we

it is the temperatures. we have a windchill that is almost down to zero right now into the single digits in boston. this is being conservative. boston is about 13, 15 degrees. steady wind of 20 miles an hour. that's a windchill of two below. as we go back to work and school bundle up the kids. i want to jump ahead because there is a significant potential for the weekend beginning early on saturday. there will be an ocean storm and it will be a strong one. it will be south of us. probably close enough to give us snow and wind impact. if it comes close a significant snow and wind impact. if it is farther south we would then only get a fringing. that's what i will be evaluating, but it is something that i will keep you up-to-date with so all of us here at stormteam 5. stay tuned for that. full forecast a little later. ed: and a founding member of the eagles has died. he even had a role in "miami vice."
