rvey: in addition to that we have winter storm warnings for the waters of the south shore, cape cod, southern rhode island, southern connecticut. that is usually implying the potential of six inches or more of snow in all those locations. that is a winter weather advisory. that means potential of three through six inches of snow. it is very possible that situation could extend northward to the mass pike. right now it is snowing, moderately to heavily in washington. here is the way it is going to look. by about 7:00 tomorrow morning the edge of the snow moves to

know about the storm. mic this is shaping up to be an incredible storm. as it unfolds there are 5 things to watch. number one, the track. as harvey mentioned the exact track will determine it' s impact in new england. a little shift can mean a big difference in snow totals. stay tuned. number two, beach erosion. the storm is progressive so coastal flooding should be limited to minor, possibly pockets of moderate flooding especially south of boston. however, wave action could approach 20-feet off shore. watch for erosion in areas from sandwich to dennis and also plum island. number three, blizzard. heavy snows in the mid-atlantic have happened before. and this may be one for the record books. however, a blizzard with reduced visibility and winds over 35mph , that would be extremely rare. number four, wind & erosion in new jersey. this area hasn' t been hit with wind and waves like this since superstorm sandy. forecast are for storm tides to be within inches of sandy' s level. this could lead to devastating damage along the jersey coast.
