from about 6:00 till about 9:00 tonight. after that the rains moves east although still heavy on the cape. tomorrow morning's commute, could still be band of rain. the heaviest band is likely to be around the cape and the islands. what happens after that? after the rain exits the cape, by late tomorrow morning or midday, we see everything kind of moving northwest to southeast. and for boston, north and west, skies may bright an little bit. but there is going to be another wave of low pressure coming up for late tomorrow night and friday morning. mostly to affect southeastern mass and cape cod. as it turns colder, possibly just cold enough to cause that rain to mix with or change over to snow, as we get toward dawn on friday and well into friday morning, before it then moves off for friday afternoon. there can be some accumulation if it breaks. the national weather service has issued a winter storm watch for southeastern mass and the cape for very late tomorrow night until friday at 3:00 p.m. here's one computer model kind

inch band of snow. that's probably a pretty reasonable estimate. i was thinking the potential is there for two to four inches. there is always the chance there could be more if cold air comes in quicker and the storm lasts long enough but that's probably a sensible approach at this point, and we'll see how things go as we get closer to that. in the meantime, it's so warm, temperatures in the 50s, it's rising steadily, with strong southerly winds gusting to 30 or more. i'm estimating boston will climb to about 58 at least which would be close to the record. worcester at 54 but it may be higher than that we'll show you some of the different cities and show you how things may move. here's one computer sxwroex taking boston to 62 degrees at 11:00 tonight. worcester, about 60. and look how warm it stays for early tomorrow morning. ridiculously warm for this time of year. then temperatures are steady or fall slowly for the rest of tomorrow. see how it turns chillier by friday morning.

southeastern mass and the cape, if that rain does indeed last long enough it could mix with or change over to snow with some small accumulation. next seven days, you know the story tomorrow, friday, it clears up in the afternoon. seasonable weather this weekend. in terms of temperature. monday and tuesday, the time period we have to watch. what's going to happen is, first there will be an ocean storm pretty far out. for let's say sunday night and monday. might brush us or give us snow flurries. monday night and tuesday, a second storm could come up and replace it. we have to watch that time period very, very carefully. i would say late sunday night, monday, monday night, and tuesday. can't be too specific how things will break down because if they don't come together the right way, then we will not wind up with substantial snow accumulation. that's obviously impossible to say with something that complex in this how things will break particular time frame. >> thank you. imagine millions of items from public libraries, historical societies, museums and private collections waiting for you,
