>> good morning, it is february 12. school bus driver goes to court today. the accusations that he was drunk behind the wheel. emily: flames for in a home in norton. the destruction left behind. randy: police tell us it is the worst case of animal cruelty they have ever seen. emily: we look into all of those stories but first we want to check in with randy. cindy: it feels like below zero right now. it is currently feeling like a below in boston. that is the windchill.

the temperatures themselves are down in the single digits all the way down to the cape. worcester is just one, sitting at zero. this is not the coldest of the air that is coming. that is still sitting to our north and west. another front will be coming through, as it does so, it will bring even colder air for your saturday. high pressure. sunshine today. a few clouds. we go from the single digits only into the 20' s. with increasing clouds. wind chill will feel like they are below zero through 9:00 a.m. and only get to the teens later today. the coldest most dangerous time is when the windchill will get close to 30 below zero. we will talk more about that. let us had out to the roads. olessa: good morning.

the bus company says the driver has been suspended. emily: ray flynn is undergoing medical test after crashing into a home in south boston. in a statement he said he passed out behind the wheel yesterday on flint place while driving home from the gym. the 76-year-old suffered a concussion. no one else was hurt. randy: the driver in this head and run will be facing a judge today. once again. police called the suspect a dangerous, career felon. emily: we were in woburn with the charges he is being faced with. kelly: the hit and run is one crime in an alleged spree the suspect. charges and a salt and battery on a police officer. dell gato was tracked down after

randy: for the first time in nearly 17 years, we' re hearing from the mother of one of the two teenagers behind a school shooting that changed the country. 13 people were murdered at columbine high school in april of 1999. the mother is now talking about the tragedy. emily: in an exclusive abc interview with diane sawyer , the mother opens up about the massacre. >> i remember sitting there and reading about them. all of these kids.

morning. the weekend may not be so good. cindy: it is cold. like we have not seen. there have only been a thousand -- a handful of times that we boston.

is happening this weekend. these are the wind chills you need to dress for out the door. a below in boston and 14 below in worcester. the windchill warning is not this morning. it goes into effect at 4:00 p.m. tomorrow afternoon through noontime on sunday. the wind chills are likely to drop between 25-30 degrees below zero. that is dangerous. you need to limit your time outdoors. you can get frostbite in about 10 minutes time. picture the has are indoors and the kids inside also. you can see, we' ll so have the combination of the wind and the cold hardly impacting us now but going into saturday night, it has the biggest impact into sunday morning. the coldest of the air is still to come. it is zero in orange. 16 down in nantucket.

miles per hour. the wind chills will be running at about zero at 9:00 and then up into the teens this afternoon. temperatures will come up to 20-25 degrees. we started out with a lot of sunshine but clouds on the increase as we get deeper into the day. we are watching two things, it is so much colder to the north. there is an arctic funnel boundary to the north and there is also a system hitting the coast. clouds coming in after the sunshine this afternoon. as we go into this evening, there will likely be some snow showers. overnight, it a storm heading out to see will brush the outer tip of nantucket with a couple of inches of snow. there may be some steadier snow developing close to boston during the overnight hours. overnight, we will see the temperatures holding in these

tomorrow, we will see the temperatures fall during the day. the coldest of the air comes in sunday morning and that is when we have the potential of setting record low temperatures. 10 below in worcester sunday morning. five below in boston. those would be records for the day. saturday' s timeline -- the temperatures will drop. we started out in the teens. as we get to noontime, temperatures will begin to fall. as we go into the evening hours, temperatures will drop below zero and by sunday morning, here is the core of the cold. well below zero across a good portion of the area. it will be all about the windchill. windchill values sunday morning, anywhere from 20-30 degrees below zero. those will last through the morning hours in sunday. and the afternoon, the windchill will stay below zero all day long.

when that happens, you can get frostbite on exposed skin in about 10 minutes. this is cold you need to take seriously. the core of it is still up in canada. it will be getting in here saturday night into sunday. we could be talking about record cold temperatures. we do have a wind chill more -- wind chill morning and it will go into effect at 4:00 tomorrow afternoon. we are tracking the cold for the weekend but we are also tracking a little bit of snow for tonight. clouds increasing at 6:00. if you have plans to be out, there may be a few snow showers. along the south coast, the cape, all the way up to the south shore. this is where we will see snow showers give way to steadier snow over the overnight hours. that will lead to snow of at least a few inches. another burst of snow.
