gregory wright is charged with murder as well as assaulting a police officer. apple is vowing to fight a federal order forcing them to help hack into a phone belonging to one of the san bernadino shooters. apple' s ceo saying that kind of software would put all iphone users at risk. we begin with chaos on the orange line. running on schedule after last night' s scare. an exterior panel causing trouble at the state street station last night. nicole estaphan is live with the steps the tea is taking right now. nicole: effective immediately, officials are changing the way they inspect these trains. they will include side -- include side panels and inspections every eight to nine weeks. alarms and smoke set off panic on the orange line tuesday night. passengers kick window out,

>> all of a sudden a big brown billow of smoke. people that were standing, sitting down, everybody ran. nicole: a side panel fell often inbound train and onto the tracks. when this train ran over it it created the smoke of them. >> it looks like the brakes were on fire or something. the brakes were smoking. everything, we had to kick the windows out. nicole: according to t personnel, zero of those cars failed inspection though panels were secured on 13 trains. right above the daily hustle statehouse. executive director brianlemay says when they saw the smoke he jeopardy. >> it causes hair to stand on and. a situation occurs we do not the fact. it is a bit disquieting.

sensitive history still intact today. there were no injuries reported no a full-scale investigation is now underway. wcvb newscenter 5. emily: a suspect facing murder charges after a shooting outside a randolph bar. the arraignment happening at quincy district court. information. sera: it was a tense hearing in what prosecutors are calling an execution style murder. a heavy police presence in the courtroom for the arraignment of gregory wright, accused of several charges including murder and assaulting a police officer. wright allegedly went to the city limits saloon and followed the victim outside after closing at 1:00 this morning and fired five times.

wright. he allegedly kicked a police a violent encounter. point they have not identified any sort of motive. they did not find there was any interaction between the suspect and the victim at the bar that night nor had there been any sort of relationship between the two. the investigation is continuing. the victim was identified in court as drake scott. he was at the bar participating in an open mic night which he has done in the past. ragur rewrite is being held without bail. -- right is being held -- without bail. emily: cindy in the weather center with a look at forecast. cindy: we have sunshine, temperatures in the 40' s. surely not the 50' s we had yesterday but that is still above average for this time of year. typical high as 39 this year. we are trending colder the next couple of days so temperatures

wright tavern located next to the town library but the library was not damaged. because of that fire remains under investigation. a carjacking suspect is facing a judge. the crime started in the parking lot of the westgate mall in brockton yesterday. the woman had just put her out. she talked to us on the phone. >> he said, i am actually going to take your car. thought he was kidding and he lifted his jacket and he had a gun. emily: police chased down jose rio obles. he says -- they say he crashed the stolen car in a neighborhood. they also recovered a pellet gun. residents of the malden apartment complex are waiting for answers after the discovery of a woman' s body is being treated as a homicide investigation.

too far from where we have to be on a typical winter. we have had a lot of sunshine this morning. a pleasant day overall. much calmer than yesterday. 44 degrees in boston. wind out of the west at 10 miles per hour. colder air as we go deeper into the afternoon, this evening. you will feel it by tomorrow. this is the air mass working in . not going to compare to what we had over the weekend and will notice temperatures ticking down in the next 24 hours. a lot of cloud cover with this but very limited moisture so as we go into the afternoon we were start to see some of these clouds flow in so the sunshine will be fading but nothing more than a straight flurry. temperatures have managed to come up into the 40' s in a lot of spots all the way up to portsmouth, new hampshire. beverly, lower 40' s. you step to the

the worcester area at 37. mid 40' s to the south. falmouth and the cape looking at low to mid 40' s. it has been nice. temperatures holding where they are or starting to come down as we get into the later afternoon and evening. nothing more than a straight flurry tonight. we fall back into the teens and 20' s for overnight lows. colder out the door tomorrow morning. high pressure will knows in behind it so i think we brighten up tomorrow and for most of us there is a lot of sunshine in your thursday forecast. northerly wind will be passing over the relatively warmer ocean water. can' t rule out a couple of snow showers. these will be few and far between and i don' t expect real accumulation out of them but there might be flakes flying around the cape tomorrow. we will notice gusty wind so the high tomorrow is in the lower 30' s.

today. it feels like it is in the teens in the morning. wind chills get no higher than 20' s in the afternoon. we will start out chili on friday with a lot of sunshine in the morning. tracking this next system. there will be some snow across northern new england. we may see light rain or snow but any accumulation of under an inch and we will watch this cold front try to pass through. could be a spot shower but by saturday afternoon we are in the mid 40' s. upper 40' s to near 50 on sunday. things start out in the 40' s early next week but on tuesday we will watch the clouds increase and look down the coast and on the map by tuesday, a big storm with a lot of moisture. that looks like it will be moving toward us by wednesday next week. exactly where it tracks and if it will be rain or snow, those will be questions in the focused. between now and then, a bump up

emily: your health, new research is backing advice to pregnant women not to overdo it on fish. the results of a long-term study find eating fish more the three times a week during pregnancy is associated with an increased risk of childhood obesity. the findings are in line with recommendations from the fda. the agency suggests pregnant women should eat fish no more than two to three times per week. new steps taken to stop the spread of the zika virus. the fda is recommending u.s. blood banks refused of nations from anyone who has traveled to as -- to a high risk area in the previous four weeks. the red cross and the american association of blood banks have taken similar measures. america has a new top dog. the fan favorite at westminster was this big guy.

for short, winning best in show. the three-year-old pop became the third german shorthaired pointer to win the top prize , the first since 1987. some not so focused on the competition. this is dario, the leonberger. he is more interested in treats. he picked at the pocket of his handler during the show. he did manage to win fan favorite. charming the audience. we are sticking with the pet theme. the newest instagram craze, animal costumes. this pooch is named maymo . cindy: a bunny i suppose. he does look sad. he looks not pleased, maybe looking for a little doggie self-respect.
