heather: at least you have green arrows on the road, because the rails are a mess tonight. this is back they station. major delays, commuters using amtrak, the commuter rail, and the t. the problems started with an amtrak signal problem. there is a list of alternative stations for many of the lines. but people are being advised to find another way home. imagine, all of those people. and it' s not even that cold. we typically see problems like this, harvey, when it is minus temperatures out. but it' s 33 degrees out. harvey: most of the day has been above freezing. we certainly don' t have bitter cold. heather: i think i have one more thing i want to share. oh, maybe not, too late. harvey: we will share the weather with you. we have not even gotten to sunset. the dry air, the light winds, the chilly air mass -- that sets us up to be cold tonight. the winds are coming down a briskly out of the north. they will slowly diminished night, along the temperature to drop off. boston getting down to about 19, worcester about 19. be prepared that while it will be tranquil, it will be very cold tomorrow morning. then tomorrow afternoon temperatures will rebound to appoint in the 30' s -- a point in the 30' s, maybe approaching 40 in a few spots. we have cold air thanked to the north. but you mentioned denver being 71. look at st. louis at 58. even chicago at 41. the milder air will make its way in. just before it does, a few things will happen. this is just one computer model showing a few flakes around the cape. there is a slight chance. more than likely, just a few clouds.

start with a clue tomorrow. look at the clouds to the west. they will thicken during the day tomorrow and evening. before we can get to the warm air on saturday, a little period of precipitation. still cold enough to produce a quick period of snow moving from west to east. that will be around 11:00 roughly tomorrow night. we might get a brief period of snow in boston. if we do, and it sticks at all, according to an inch is the max we could get. -- a coating to an inch is the maxim to get. sunday will be the day with a mild westerly wind. both saturday and sunday should feature high temperatures in boston close to 50 degrees. it will be turning chillier late monday and sunday evening. a small system on the northern fringe overnight sunday night and first thing monday. that could be snow or rain changing to snow. cannot rule out a small simulation.
