because of that, it's just cold enough to support snow when the moisture gets to our area. in terms of the timeline with all this around 2:00 snow is breaking out in southwest connecticut. right around the time of the evening commute snow could be falling west and south of boston. probably reaching boston roughly about 6:00. now it's going to be a very wet snow along the coast where the temperature may be a little above freeze bug it will be a little colder inland and so for several hours tomorrow evening there can be some accumulation. then it's going to mix around midnight and turn over to rain in boston. early wednesday the pink is still a mix in southern new hampshire and could be having sleet and snow. not a lot of snow with this. less than an inch along the coast but 1 to 3 inches west and north of i-95 all occurring tomorrow evening into tomorrow night. remember that freezing drizzle, freezing rain early on wednesday prompting the winter weather advisory for areas to our west. there's much more to the storm with wind and heavy rain.

this is the temperature compared to 24 hours ago. 10 to 15 degrees colder than it was last night at this time. it's down in the 20's in our areas north and west of boston as you can clearly see. right around the freezing mark down on cape cod. notice the temperatures are down in the teens when you get to lebanon, laconia, new hampshire, burlington, vermont, and just above the border low quebec. just enough of that cold air is getting in so that when our next storm begins it will at least be cold enough for snow. by the time that storm is completely done with us we'll be incredibly mild, windy, and wet. another massive turn-around. but these are the temperatures to start the day off tomorrow. then we'll move to 35 to 40 in. pretty impressive area of rain trying to slide up the coast. it is the first batch of precipitation, another storm out close to denver and that's going to be part of the storm that when it gets us we'll be on the warm side of that and will give us the heavy rain. let's time this out for you. storm number one. there you see it. storm number two right over

now, storm number one comes up the coast. late tomorrow into tomorrow night. gives us several hours of snow. before we then mix and eventually change. here is the timeline. about 2:00 snow is getting into southwestern connecticut. around 6:00 it's just about to boston to the west and points south. now right along the coast it'll be a wet snow with a temperature actually a little above 32. inland areas will drop to around or just under 32 while about 10:00 on we'll start to see mixing of sleet, especially in the boston area and to the west and eventually to north and west with time. but the pink area represents either freezing rain or freezing drizzle. outside of 128 possibly but especially outside of 495 wednesday morning still 32 or below. on top of the snow accumulation which won't be huge there will be a little bit of ice as well. even into the morning, later morning, and the afternoon there will still be a few

valley, in the worcester area out toward the berkshires with freezing rain. notice some of the heavier rain into worcester county late on wednesday and later wednesday night into thursday morning strong lines of downpours, maybe even thunder with strong or damaging winds likely. the first part of the storm, the snowy part, almost nothing toward the cape. i say i-95 north and west, 1 to 3 inches of snow for tomorrow evening before the mix takes over. the reason for the winter weather advisory is because of the the freezing rain on top of the snow over inland locations. when we get to the heavy rain part of the storm overnight wednesday night into thursday morning, very high chance of a heavy rain, high chance of some strong, damaging winds. low chance of coastal flooding and even a chance there could be a thunderstorm involved. in terms of how much rain this could produce, check it out. we're talking a good 1 to 2 inches of rain. we get 1 to 3 inches of snow i-95 north and west and the
