hour now. it does create a bit of a wind chill this morning but later today, it's going to feel better because it's going to be a mild wind bringing in warmer air. as we go through the day, the winds keep up at about 10-15 miles an hour. we see more sun by about 2:00 in boston. temperaturewise 55 boston. 57 in waltham. 55 shirley. 56 in hudson. 53 in shrewsbury. worcester. as we go through the next couple of days, we still are in the upper 40's both monday and tuesday but notice there is some rain in the forecast for worcester on monday. pretty much for everybody. it's going to be a few hit-or-miss showers. we're going to time that out for you coming up too. the south shore seeing the mid 50's. 52 in plymouth. even 50 degrees in new bedford today. and the upper 40's on the cape and islands. still not that bad. so those showers on monday coming from this area of low pressure you see here. and a cold front.
6:47 am
so the timing looks like this. monday morning as early as 8:00 a couple of showers maybe in southern vermont. maybe through the berkshires but by 11:00 made its way into worcester, the merrimack valley. say about 1:00 or 2:00 in the afternoon boston could be seeing them. the south shore. the cape and the islands will be up next around 3:00. everything is gone by 8:00 at night. then we watch this second cold front behind it. now this one is going to be dry, just brings in a couple of clouds for tuesday but also kicks up those winds out of the north and west. so it brings down slightly cooler air. not cold though. and then we're watching our next system that is out to the west. this one is going to actually bring in some moisture from the gulf of mexico. so we are thinking about some heavy, steadier rain beginning overnight tuesday. this is at 8:00. so i think overnight tuesday into first thing wednesday we could see some rain here. so again night showers beginning on tuesday night. 50 degrees though as we head towards wednesday here comes that timing for that rain. notice i say mostly rain. here's why. i do think the rain showers will
6:48 am
we could see a half inch to an inch in total. but at the tail end of this, it's going to bring down some colder air. i think worcester and plymouth north and west of that could see a period of some light snow at the tail end. not looking for much in the way of accumulation. however, we get toward the end of the week and a couple models now indicating we could potentially se a coastal system this one has more of a punch to it. if it were to set up how it's projected to, we could see a period of snow beginning on friday afternoon and really lamping up friday night into saturday morning before clearing out of here saturday afternoon. it looks like there could be some accumulation if this were to all transpire especially southeastern mass. however, still several days out. a lot can change. just going to tell you winter is not over yet. doug. doug: danielle, thank you. the celtics fighting for home-court advantage, and finally home court is an advantage. back in january, the celtics' home record was a game under .500. now, they've won 10 straight at
