heather:the suspect is in custody and he is only 14 years old. police say the suspect ran from the school and threw the gun down, but was caught nearby. they say he had a motive, but they wouldn't elaborate. all four students suffered nonlife-threatening injury. ed: a suspect on the run for days turned himself into revere police. he is being held without bail because he is considered a flight risk. prosecutors say he tried to attack a police officer with a high paw hypodermic needle. his passenger was taken into custody at the scene of that crash on friday. >> a new york man was sentenced to life in prison without parole for the murder of an ipswitch restaurant owner. this happened in 2 swlr -- 2011. he is one of the men accused in the botched robbery. prosecutors say the 62-year-old grandfather was

the would be robbers found him asleep in his office at 3:00 a.m. ed: the vehicle involved in a violent hit-and-run in worcester . a van backed over them outside a flea market. the driver did flea the scene, but worcester police tracked down the mazda van today. they are still looking for the driver. the woman injured on sunday remains hospitalized in serious and stable condition. the man was treated and released. tonight will be your chance to weigh in on a plan to arm northeastern police with a semiautomatic rifle. heather:the boston city council is holding a public hearing. it gets started in a little over a half an hour from now. they say they don't need the rifle. boston police officials have said in the past that the weapons are not necessary. the school says it is a move to try and make -- try to keep the campus safer for students and staff.

unravel a deadly mystery. family members tell us that perez was a hard worker, a cook at a local restaurant who loves soccer. police are calling his death suspicious. heather:two people arrested and arraigned on a heroin bust. they appeared in court today for possession of heroin. police received a tip that a man was selling drugs at a motel 6 in tewksbury. hancock refused to stop for police when they initially pulled her over. ed: the fire that killed two people in their home this weekend has been ruled not suspicious. it happened late thursday night. the fire started in a living room and spread upstairs causing the second floor to collapse. investigators say the fire was probably caused by an electric space heater. there were also no working fire alarms in the home at the time of the fire. a judge wants to know more about the defamation lawsuit that model janice dickenson has filed against bill cosby. heather:they delayed a ruling

heather:a curious 4-year-old got himself into a scary situation. he got his arm stuck in a vend ing machine for six hours. it tripped the mechanism and that's why the rescue took so long. his dad says he thinks the son got excited because he has never seen a vending machine before. >> he is inquiz tiff and he was looking at his hand in the vending machine. he is good now. heather:he won't be doing that again. the little boy was taken to the hospital, but it was as a precaution. he is okay. ed: a leap year celebration high in the sky put on by high speed parachute fliers. the red bull skydiving team landed at the national world war one memorial. a crowd was there to watch
