one person was shot in the head and police say the shootings are connected. erika: a boston bathhouse reopening and the city reviews protocol for all 36 community centers after a seven-year-old boy drowns at carson beach after wandering away from a day program. tonight is the night hillary clinton just hours from accepting the democratic nomination for president. antoinette: she will address the nation in a highly anticipated speech, arguably the biggest of her career. just a short time massachusetts senator elizabeth warren appearing on stage at the podium rehearsing with a group of other women senators. lauren lyster is in philadelphia right now with a preview. lauren: p dom handing -- president obama handing off the mantle of hope.

victim. it turns out they had three. sneakers, jeans, bullet casings and bullet holes. bulfinch street in linn riddled with evidence of a violent morning. >> i thought it was fireworks but it was actually gunshots. sera: around 3:45 lynn police were called to the scene. they found a man with a gunshot wound to the head. >> a manth life-threatening injuries. we transported him to mass general. sera: minutes later police got a call from lynne hospital where two other victims with gunshot wounds checked themselves in, both with non-life-threatening injuries. >> we do not know if it's relatede may be related. short>> the only thing i saw wae everyone's striving by giving cpr to somebody. sera: investigators gathered

officials say at this point it appears to be an isolated incident. this is still under investigation but lynn police tell us this was not random, that all three victims knew each other. at this point, no arrest seven made. -- no arrests have been made. erika: a deadly crash in franklin. a driver killed after a pickup truck rolled over off the road and into the woods on route 495 north in the bellingham line. but the crash backup of traffic for miles at around 6:00 this morning. fire officials investigating this raging fire in brookline. flames shooting through the roof of this home. this is around 11:00 last night. firefighters were able to get the flames under control around midnight. it's not clear how the fire started. antoinette: a man drowns after a desperate attempt by two others to save him. firefighters tell us they pulled

temperatures pick up a few more degrees this afternoon but it is not going to be this hot tomorrow. temperatures in the 70's to the north. those readings are on the other side of a front dropping south. that moisture to the south is lifting northward so those two will interact and help to produce showers across the area. rain will fill in tomorrow morning and i think get heavier as we get into the afternoon. rain chances tomorrow and maybe boston taking action following the drowning death of this young boy who walked away from a city run drop in summer camp. todd kazakiewich is live with steps being taken to make sure something similar never happens again. todd: the city is reviewing protocol at all 36 city run community centers. as for the curley center, it is back both today though still not clear how child managed to

center reopens, flowers at the front door service attribute to kyzr willis and a reminder of the sad circumstances surrounding his drowning. investigators are back on scene trying to figure out how this tragedy happened. tuesday afternoon, a frantic search begins as word spreads that the seven-year-old boy has gone missing. apparently wandering away from a city run drop in center. hours later >> we tried our hardest on land we have copiers up and unfortunately around 7:00 p.m. we made the worst discovery we could, the young child in the water. todd: more than two dozen counselors were watching over them in addition to lifeguards. >> we will take appropriate action. todd: the director of the curley center is on paid leave.

erika: in a few hours a vigil will be held for the three police officers killed during a shootout outside of baton rouge convenience store. investigators have said the gun man was targeting attorney general loretta lynch will speak at the vigil. antoinette: firefighters and california are bracing for hotter temperatures as they continue to battle the same fire. the flames have charred 3700 square miles, destroying 34 homes in killing a bulldozer driver.

we could use some rainfall. we may get some rain as we head into the day tomorrow. coolest down on the cape where temperatures run in the lower 80's. 91 in marshfield. new bedford sitting at 92 degrees. north of town on the north shore, beverly, 92. n 90 in nashua and fitchburg. we will keep the sunshine mixed with hayes and high cloudiness right now but notice the wind direction is shifting to the south as we get deeper into the afternoon. you look to the south you can see the air is stickier. the more humid air is lifting in so as we go through the afternoon building of the clouds. a couple of showers new the new hampshire border. it's a possibility associated with the front that is dropping south. this is the leading edge of cooler air.

the cooldown begins. this moisture is lifting in. overnight, our low temperatures and the clouds only drop close to 70 degrees. our highs tomorrow, we are not getting out of the 70's. through the timeline, 5:00 tomorrow morning, couple showers approaching from the south coming out of connecticut and rhode island. as we go into the morning notice how these areas of rain expand and fill in. embedded downpours could produce localized street flooding and that will be a concern wherever heavier bands set up through the looking more likely that will happen along the south coast so this may be really get the heaviest rain. the potential is therefore for a widespread half inch to an inch of rain but there could be some locally higher amounts was to a

start the nfl season without tom brady is the starting quarterback. it will be jimmy garoppolo, who has had two years to learn from brady and he has about nine weeks to figure out how to replace him for four weeks. in the meantime, garoppolo is treating this like any other camp. >> nothing's really changed. when they put me in for the reps are in for i will go out there and do my best. mindset is basically the same. it did lli camp -- bob: it did look like any other camp for you we were told all the quarterbacks will be getting equal number of reps this early in camp and i can confirm that is what we saw today. tom brady did not speak with the media but rob did. we will hear from him later today. erika: we did not see it here but a mysterious streak was spotted in several coast states.
