boston 78 and bedford 86. away from the coast, warmer and right along the shore. a cooler situation on the cape where it has been an outstanding day. these are the low temperatures tonight. tomorrow it is very similar to today. expecting a sea breeze again. that means the shoreline is right around 80 degrees, but it could be approaching 90 back away from the coast. now there is no moisture nearby. that will change on wednesday. we havo humidity to say the least. all of that is coming up. >> a lowell native is dead, shot in the back while playing pokemon go at a tourist attraction in san francisco. newscenter 5's reid lamberty is live in lowell with this story. reid? reporter: bin ben, police remain puzzled as to what triggered this violent and senseless murder 3,000 miles away. the victim was a 20-year-old kid from lowell. a lowell city baseball

aspirations of playing professionally. everyone with whom we spoke today had nothing but glowing reviews about this kid and his family saying they dedicated their lives to helping the baseball community throughout lowell, and baseball was in fact their lives. the only thing brighter than his smile is the manner in which he lived his life. there u will meet than calvin riley. reporter: a 20-year-old star who was murdered over the weekend in san francisco. eric knows the riley family and spoke with the family. >> he lost his best friend. it is tough for everybody in the community. cal was a great kid. reporter: the college sophomore was with friends over the weekend near fisherman's wharf, a popular tourist spot in san francisco playing pokemon go and for reasons unknown he was shot. >> people dying from illness,

lived a long and successful life, but this time of senseless violence is always difficult to accept. reporter: a sister at the school he spent three years before graduating. >> cal was fun loving and a friendly and popular boy. reporter: they say the rileys moved to california several years ago. calvin could play baseball at the same high school as his playing the game and teaching it to younger kids is precisely how calvin lived. >> calvin was a gift to the world. he was just one of those kids everyone wanted to be like. reporter: the robbery does not appear to be a motive as police say it was stolen. they are looking at surveillance cameras hoping to

>> right now police in lowell are investigating after bullet were fired through the window of a home. two rounds went through the window on fayette street. one person was inside at the time and they were not hurt. new at 5:30, a stash of drugs, money and weapons were found in a child's bedroom in new hampshire and tonight justin gothier pieses charges. meth, heroin and prescription pills and a large amount of cash were un drug charges from a july arrest. today he argued for a reduced bail citing family concerns. they teamed up on the investigation leading up to the raid. >> governor baker is boosting green energy. the plan calls for the state to produce 1600 megawatts of hydro and wind power. that is enough to supply thousands of homes. and it calls for better storage of the energy created and new procedures to fix gas

hulu is pulling the plug on free tv episodes. the streaming service said they will stop showing the episodes. they will be gone from the site in a couple weeks. the episodes will now be available still on yahoo!.

widespread rain. when we get the downpours and the thunderstorms, very often they are localized. that means the majority of the area doesn't get any help. you can see the area in severe drought and that covers the greater metropolitan area. that is an on going story. so far the theme of the summer is hot and dry. dry in terms of lack of rainfall. not necessarily in terms of lack of hit although today has been comfortable. 82 the high in boston. that was it because the sea breeze took over. it is close to an average day. friday, saturday and sunday, all had highs of 89 and just shy of 90. it has not yet happened in august. when we get to the latter part of the week it will start to happen. right now the temperatures are reasonably manageable.

and the ninety in pierre. and a 91 in nashville, tennessee. the other thing is right now it is relatively comfortable. we are in the pleasant range. once we take a look to the south and the west, then we get into that uncomfortable and oppressive range on the scale. that will start moving northeastward as we get deeper into the week. you won't feel it tomorrow, but you'll start to feel it on wednesday and especially thereafter. the temperaturesow comfortable on the coast and comfortably warm on the interior. 50s in the interior valleys and 60s of course for the urban centers. and then tomorrow's temperatures are much like today. i expect the sea breeze again and expect a lot of sunshine again for tomorrow. the moisture will beheading out to sea and then some more will be bubbling up and that's the chance of storms on wednesday.

another great outdoor summertime day. and then by wednesday the clouds start to come in and the humidity increases and this is our chance of getting showers and thunderstorms. will it be widespread in that's been hard to come by. it could be again. it is certainly the possibility as it leads to the storms. we put that as a potential weather impact day should you get caught in any of that. there is certainly the risk of flooding and the moisture will be available if thunderstorm that develops. check it out after that. once we get to thursday and beyond, a lot of days could be near around or a little over 90. whether they are or not all will have high humidity and that type of an air mass some spot thunderstorms become possible. widespread thunderstorms could still be difficult to come by. that's the story for now. ben? >> looks like a broken record. thank you very much. ticket prices for a-rod's final game are sky rocketing. the last game is friday in new
