he is charged with sexually assaulting a 79-year-old woman inside her home in income on july 28. dna evidence linked that links into the attack. he is charged with a series of felonies, including assault with intent to rape. he is being held without bail until the dangerousness hearing friday. ed: an investigation is underway after three young girls fell from 8 -- all listed in serious condition, and all carnival rides at the county fair in greeneville, tennessee shut down. investigators say the ferris wheel cart they were riding in somehow got caught with another cart under it. the cart with the girls inside got turned nearly upside down. the girls fell more than 30 feet to the ground. >> two of the children were alert, answering questions. i can't tell you whether the

child was or does have a head injury. reporter: this accident comes one day after 10-year-old caleb schwab died while riding the tallest water slide in the world in kansas. he suffered a neck injury. the consumer product safety commission says water slides are among the most dangerous attractions at amusement parks. 7200 accidents related to them last year alone. heather: new at 4:30 p.m. the dataec the el faro sank during the height of hurricane joaquin last october. the hope is the device will help the ntsb piece together what happened to the ship. all 33 people on board died , including three with massachusetts ties. ed: a look over the city of boston. another gorgeous day. but is the 90 degrees coming? harvey: this is just a side of what is coming next.

democratic families. patrick kennedy says people should stop saying it, because that word demeans those with mental illness. the former rhode island congressman and now a substance abuse recovery and mental health advocate says it's irresponsible. kennedy says only medical professionals, not pundits, truly know the status of trump's mental health. heather: the parents of two americans killed in benghazi are now suing hillary clinton. they claim her carelessness in handling information while secretary of state contributed to the conditions leading up to the attack on the u.s. diplomatic mission there. both patricia smith and charles woods have previously spoken out against clinton during the presidential campaign. ed: a condition tied to the zika virus claims the life of a baby in texas. doctors say the baby was born with microcephaly. the infant's mother traveled to latin america during her pregnancy. this is the first zika-related death in texas. an arrest in the theft of a state police cruiser. the man was taken into custody today on the mass pike in newton.

the cruiser was stolen in south boston yesterday morning. the vehicle was later found in somerville. no firearms or other weapons were inside at the time. the cruiser was not damaged and no equipment was stolen. heather: right now sharon police , are asking for help tracking down a child rape suspect. 29-year-old erik silvia is wanted on several charges. his last known address is beach road in sharon. if you have any information you should call police. the new hampshire school where owen labrie sexually assaulted a teenager. this after the parents of the 15-year-old girl filed a lawsuit against the school. in court documents released today, st. paul's school says it had no way of preventing the attack. labrie was convicted of misdemeanor sexual assault and was sentenced to a year in jail. he is out on bail pending an appeal. heather: delta airlines still working to recover from a system meltdown.

than 250 flights canceled today. this, a day after the airline cancelled a thousand flights. delta says a power outage is to blame for the setback to hundreds of thousands of passengers. it's estimated it will take delta until at least tomorrow to get back to normal. refunds are being offered to passengers on cancelled or significantly delayed flights. in-flight entertainment is also free. heather: right now, boston fire officials say oily rags soaked in a floor refinishing solvent and stored in trash bags are to blame for last night's 4-alarm fire in southie. the fire caused $1 million in damages to a home under construction on east 4th street and neighboring homes. no injuries reported. ed: new details that were released about the fire in this west bridgewater house. 54-year-old robert murphy was killed. the state fire marshal now says the fire started in the kitchen on the first floor. it's believed the fire was an accident. heather: outrage from some of the relatives of 100 people killed in the station nightclub fire. they are upset the site is

here's the story in boston right now. it has been a great day, and so was yesterday. i logan airport, 77. the wind is off the water at 17 miles our are at it is a pleasant day along the coast and at the beaches, where we have sea breezes. easterly sea breeze around boston. notice it is a southwesterly wind over inland areas. that is the tip-off, because all of us southwesterly wind tomorrow. tomorrow will not be the hot day, because there will be clouds and a risk of wet weather. but thursday when we lose the clouds, it will open the gates for the heat and humidity. look at the temperatures now. 90 in bedford. but it is not unbearable, because it is not humid. later this week, perhaps the most humid air of the season will move in.

reid: he was released on personal recognizance, which was the recommendation of the prosecutor despite the awful allegations. the bathroom inside malden high school, that's where prosecutors say a 16-year-old boy, who has multiple disabilities, was raped by steven macdonald. the -- >> the defendant would continuously threatened to go to the victim's home and kill his mother. reid: macdonald was a para professional who would assist the teenager in the bathroom. prosecutors laid out stomach turnde macdonald allegedly committed on himself and the disabled student. starting last fall, prosecutors say the victim would hold his urine to avoid going to the bathroom. >> the victim had accidents at school and he was left in the hallway with wet clothes. reid: malden schools calls the charges deeply concerning and will continue to work with both police and da's office, defense attorney alan tuttman called the indictments troubling, says his client maintains his innocence. >> the story that is being told
