pike here at exit 11a. then travelled about a mile before making a fatal mistake. this mangled piece of metal is all that's left of a ford focus, that state police say was being driven by a 28-year-old man from rutland late last night when for some reason he got on the mass turnpike and started going eastbound in the westbound lanes. >> that is very scary. david: police say the driver pulled over in the breakdown lane, made a u-turn, and then started going the opposite way. he hit three car cars, including this white suv and this grey sedan. four people in those cars went to the hospital. the wrong-way driver died at the scene. >> we will obviously look for any signs of blood alcohol or impairment we can detect. david: nationwide, studies have shown wrong-way crashes are relatively rare. but they are 27 times more likely to be fatal. they happen most often late at night and weekends, and 60% of

either drugs or alcohol, they are less likely to understand where they are going. david: wrong-way crashes often involve drivers accidentally getting on the highway using an off-ramp. but in this case, investigators say the fatal turn was on the highway itself making the cause all the more mysterious. among the people hurt, at least three of the four injuries are described as serious. live in hopkinton, david bienick, wcvb newscenter 5. jc: outrage from some of the in the station nightclub fire, upset the site is apparently a stop in pokemon go. the associated press reporting it discovered the stop last week. right now, the west warwick site is surrounded by a chain link fence while a memorial is being built. it's not clear whether the stop has caused problems or whether anyone has asked to remove the site from the game.

americans attacked in benghazi has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against tiller clinton. sally kidd tells us it ties back to the e-mail practices as secretary of state. sally: it alleges that terrorist uses information hacked from hillary clinton's e-mail server to carry out the attack on the u.s. consulate in benghazi. it's the parents of two of the four americans killed in the attack. >> trashed, they have been used as ponds by hillary clinton and others, and they want to hold her accountable. sally: a spokesman says there have been nine different investigations into this attack, and none found evidence of any wrongdoing whatsoever. the lawsuit comes as recent polls show clinton surging ahead of republican nominee donald trump. >> thank you. sally: clinton campaigned in

01 jc: delta airlines is still experiencing some delays tied to yesterday's massive computer

airline down for several hours. by midmorning nearly 300 flights had been canceled nationwide. that followed yesterday's cancelation of about delta flights. 1000 at last check this afternoon, logan was reporting scattered delays among delta departures and arrivals. ben: your economy tonight, rideshare company lyft is adding a new feature for passengers. the service's app will now let riders add a stop along the way to their final destination. the goal is to encourage more people to carpool. the feature will be tested with select lyft users before being facebook is taking a stand against ad blockers. the social network says it has tweaked its tech to prevent ad blocking software from working on its desktop site. ad blockers already don't work in facebook's app, where most of its mobile traffic comes from. twitter is expanding it's moments feature, expanding it to let more people use the storytelling tool. it's a way to collect tweets that follow a specific news story or conversation. new curators who will be able to

brands and social activists. pokemon go has players catching characters but the app is catching all the money. the game earned $200 million around the world in its first month. that beats out other popular apps like candy crush and clash royale. the money all comes from in-app purchases, pokemon go is free to download. jc: love story going viral. husband and wife passed away minutes apart. henry and jeanette de lange raised five kids together. both were in a nursing home in south dakota. just a few days ago jeanette died after a long battle with alzheimer's, and their son says their father passed away just after hearing of her death. >> for the first time in the afternoon, he opened up his eyes and looked intently over where
