reporter: he is seen in the video running along the train as it is moving to help the driver. >> what did the driver say? >> not a thing. reporter: a helicopter flew the driver to mass general hospital. retired firefighter. >> there was a violation. he may be cited in the future. reporter: the jolt from the collision was light. >> it wouldn't have knocked you off of your feet if you were standing up. >> did you know you had hit something? >> i figured it out.

slapped her on two occasions. reporter: he was the girl's uber driver. they began to message on snapchat. he tried to meet her a few days later. he offered her a ride to school and attacked her. >> he used his body to pin her down. he pulled off her pants and underwear. at that point he raped h the girl's shirt. he has a criminal history with convictions for violent crime. most cases for misdemeanors or dismissed. the girl's story does not add up. >> i have received police reports and i would suggest there are far more questions than answers. reporter: we should mention

alleged incident. he is being held without bail. anchor: a closer look at darnell background that uber did not find. >> can run criminal background checks through the state system. they advised by state law when conducting checks and look back more than seven years but we ran our own check , and in a couple of hours we found he had a 2012 conviction for assaulting a corrections officer while he was incarcerated. he did jail time after several counts of dealing drugs in a school zone. we told uber what we found. a spokesperson sibley tells us

ed: new at 6, a palmer woman abandoned at birth is asking for your help. kathleen o'shea was left in a hospital bathroom 25 years ago as a newborn.
