around, mike? mike: we have temperatures way into the 90's and is not just the heat. it is the humidity. there is a cold front out here to the west and that could trigger some things off to read we are seeing some action out near the berkshires. this is incredibly stilly right now, but we are not seeing thundershowers lightning. that line will march eastward by about 7:00, the worcester area, moving towards boston around 8:00. right now, not looking like anything terribly strong, but certainly some downpours as we head into the evening. what could happen to the temperatures? they will drop off, but not by much. it will be another warm one tomorrow. i will tell you how warm in a few moments.

right now, a shark warning shutting down a cape cod beach today. officials ordered everyone out of the water at lighthouse beach in chatham for several hours today. they say it was because of a shark believed to be feeding in the area. the beach is now back open. todd: and right now, honoring a woman killed in princeton. there is a vigil planned in the memory of vanessa marcotte, killed while out on a jog. since vanessa markov's death. it remains unsolved. right now, runners are starting to gather in her honor. marcotte going missing after going for a jog. the 27-year-old was visiting her family for the weekend. her family reported her missing. her body was found hours later. her body was found naked.

macle. rhondella: a night of violence in milwaukee after a deadly police shooting. you can see the damage. businesses burned in protests overnight. the national guard has been activated in case there is more violence tonight. abc's eva pilgrim is in milwaukee. eva: sunday dawned in milwaukee over a city trying to heal. businesses burned out cars , smashed and trashed. eva: dozens of people arriving to pray and cleanup. just after anger and violence hours directed in the streets protestors confronting police , after an officer-involved shooting saturday afternoon. >> once again the police have failed to protect us. >> this is the police. >> shots fired. shots fired. eva: a gas station, an auto parts store and a bank six

after a traffic stop. mayor barrett: he had a gun in his hand. now the police officer didn't know it at the time, but there were 23 rounds in that gun. eva: police say the suspect took off, the officer giving chase. investigators say that officer ordered the suspect to drop his weapon. when he didn't comply, the officer fired hitting the man in his chest and arm, killing him. tensions in the city had already been high following the 2014 deadly police shooting of dontre hamilton, a mentally ill black man. no charges came against the officer involved. by saturday years of frustration and outrage hit boiling point. >> we're not the one's that's killing us, you're killing us. eva: but in the light of sunday morning people living in the , area wanted to send a different message. >> this is where we need to be. this is outreach right here. >> your neighbor sees you and they might not be as courageous as you. but when they see you, maybe they grab their courage and then

exactly. it was pretty unbelievable what we were seeing last night. if you woke up from that, that was the beginning of the warm air. we have a new batch. let me show you. let's look out to worcester county. almost three inches of rain. surely, almost two and a half inches of rain. there were pretty intense storms last night. most of this was happening before midnight. after midnight we added additional heard that lightning and thunder. despite all the noise, there was not that much rain, a quarter to a half-inch of rain. we need every drop we can get. today -- we had a couple 96 degree days and then we have the cool day yesterday.

in 2016 above the 90-degree mark. atypical year is 14. it goes up and down quite a bit. go back to 2010 -- 25 days. let's talk about the thunderstorms. this is such an incredibly hot, unstable air mass, we do not have a triggering mechanism going on. you think that the showers will erupt into something strong and severe. they are not. they are wimping out as they had to be berkshires. you see al t and it is marching east at about 30 miles per hour. so, we will see showers, or some of us will, but not a lot of it. it it is being triggered because we have a cold front coming in. i want to emphasize the word slightly -- tomorrow it will go down to hear. it will still be muggy. it will not be as oppressive as today. the showers are out to the west.

handle the heat. that is how you beat the heat. very warm, steamy sunday afternoon. but you say we are over the worst -- mike: i don't think you could get much worse. that tomorrow we are dropping it down again. the humidity and the dew point in the 70's. it was mid 90's. we do not really get that hot. but when it gets that hot and humid, as my grandmother used to say, something has to give. and we see the showers and thunderstorms. all the way across the state. it out ahead of this cold front and is a very weak cold front. only a cold front by definition. you will notice a couple degrees warmer on humidity, a couple degrees cooler on the monitor. this is trying to work its way eastward, but really there is not much push to this. we will head into the evening hours. it looks like in connecticut we may have a little bit more going
