todd? reporter: ed and heather, the uh-huh partment building behind me is where the victim lives. the victim is being held on $150,000 bail. powell is being charged with armed assault with an attempt to murder and the custodial kidnapping of his son who was missing for 12 hours. until powell surrendered and whereabouts, prosecutors say after an argument with neighbors powell takes off with his son and then allegedly returns at some point later and the argument continues and ayala powell continues. >> that's why my son removed calvin to the best of my knowledge from wherever he was at.

they are facing a charge of disorderly conduct. the victim is a former military who usually carries a gun on her. she did not have it on her that night. the situation clearly could have been much worse. ed and heather? ed: police say a child rape suspect has turned himself in. he was wanted on several charges and he is being held on $50,000 are cash bail. >> milwaukee is preparing for a third night of unrest following the death of unarmed black man by a black police officer. businesses were attacked and burned. 23-year-old saville smith was shot and killed in a traffic stop after he was ordered to drop his weapon, but did not. the confrontation was captured on the officer's body cam. >> certainly appears to me that at the time he made that decision it was a credible and legally protected decision. >> we will make sure there is peace and order restored to the neighborhood.

>> you know, today some of you may be a little less humid. check out the city cam and look at the visibility. the air is much clearer and cleaner today relative to how it has been. 10 we will show you what we are talking about and check it out. here you shol see -- you shall see. 89 in boston, but that's a west, northwest wind and that's a dryer wind. so the humidity is down and the dew point still around 90 in many places, but not quite the oppressive 90s that we've been experiencing. and here on our humidity impact chart, notice that there are areas that are actually comfortable and then there are spots that are muggy especially near the south coast and the cape. but it definitely is a step in the right direction. it is not going to stay that way. tomorrow, here comes the very, very humid air all the way back at us.

chances of showers and thunderstorms. tonight still somewhat less humid. the temperatures will hover around 70 or 71 for boston and some 60s off to the north and to the west. tomorrow won't be a real hot day because of a good deal of cloud cover and the risk of a few showers and thunderstorms. but it will become much more humid again during the course of the day. as that humidity arrives, then we will watch some of the showers and thunderstorms through the midwest. now some of pass north and west of us, but we may get some in southern new england as well. it is the leading edge of the incredibly hot as well as much more humid air that makes its approach tomorrow. do you see how in the afternoon around boston we could get a few storms? we could also have one or two in the morning as well. certainly not going to be raining all day or anywhere close to that, but we will have clouds most of the time tomorrow and we do have to be on the alert. it is possible a couple of

uh veer side. a front will come through. it is not the maximum heating of the day. after that it looks like a more comfortable air will return. notice the first chance of a few showers and thunderstorms approaching from the south and west during the midmorning or so. roughly around a that time. as we get into the afternoon hours we will be watching more storms off to the west and a few could be moving into our region later tomorrow or tomo these will be strong containing strong or damaging winds as well as lightning and heavy rains. that's what we will be following ever so closely. in the meantime, check it out. there is tomorrow. humid with a few storms around. keep an eye to the sky. maybe an early morning quick shower on wednesday and then it comes more comfortable. as we look ahead toward thursday another front is making an approach. it should become less humid.

as friends and family start to say goodbye those who knew saw net saw start to tell a similar story. she was warm, kind and loved. it ended while she was killed out for a jog last sunday. an only child she often came home to visit her parents. her body was found not far from her mother's home and sources say naked and burned. her killer ending a young life with a bright future before landinger google. her first boss out of college posted this. we knew instantly she was a rising star, smart, dedicated and willing to go the extra mile for anyone or any customer. she built strong relationships with all of her peers. he went on to say word stream misses her terribly and i miss her immensely. reporter: many people who cannot attend this wake today
