it's calm, cool. mike: and what a difference from 24 hours ago. an amazing turnaround. we could put any picture up here because there is nothing going on. the only reason you know it is moving is that clock on the top. otherwise, no clouds to show. the sky is clearing out, a calm wind, and it chills out. the rainmaker we have is way over in the be that way all day. boston is still 61 degrees, and it's not just a few spots, it's through orange and springfield, temperatures into the mid-40's in some spots, and then we have the pocket that develops down through taunton. you will see the temperatures, 47 degrees. we'll see temperatures into the 50's. it's a cool start, refreshing,

boston are making your way south. last construction zones on 128. trains and buses on schedule. randy: breaking overnight, a delivery person is hurt after a shooting in boston. this was norwell street in dorchester, the extent of her injuries is unclear. no word on any arrests. police are searching for the man who dragged a playground and attacked her. emily: sera congi is live with what we have learned overnight. sera: sera police say he was ona blue bmx bicycle and he told the victim he had a knife. this all started on the south end of greenwich park and clarence street around 1:00 monday. a.m. the man forced the woman to walk to the carter playground where she was sexually assaulted. he ran towards davenport st.

hispanic, late 20's to mid 30's with brown cropped hair. he had tattoos on his right arm and right hand. boston police are urging anyone with information to come forward. sera congi, wcvb newscenter 5. emily: new this morning, prosecutors are calling for severe restrictions for the state trooper accused of raping and assaulting his former girlfriend. robert sundberg allegedly boasted about his gps moning anklet and threatened to quote bury the victim who is also a state trooper at the concord state police barracks. he was released on bail after pleading not guilty to 14 counts of abuse. randy: right now there is still cleaning up to be done in concord after a tornado ripped through a section of that community. mike, this morning we are getting a closer look at some of that damage.

tornado warning, and when that storm struck yesterday morning, we ran upstairs to check on guest. the building was hit so hard that firefighters with atvs and chainsaws had to cut through debris to free some of them. >> everyone is ok. the lights were out and alarms were going off, it was scary. we had about 15 trees down but not too much damage to the it has been here for 150 years. mike: in all, 39 homes were damaged when the ef1 tornado cut a half mile swath through concord. fortunately, no one was hurt. i'll take a look at the changes on the way in our forecast, just ahead. randy: governor baker is pledging to help people in concord clean up. he toured the damage yesterday afternoon. another area hit hard by stormy weather, marlborough. the force of the wind so strong this massive storage shed was pushed back more than 50 feet.

>> split the lock open. the win snapped it and straightened it out. randy: in other parts of town large trees fell on power lines, ripping them down. at the height of the storm more than 3,000 people lost electricity. emily: today president obama heads to louisiana to tour the areas hardest hit by historic flooding in that region. parts of baton rouge saw as much as 2-feet of rain in just two days swamping homes and flooding entire neighborhoods. 13 people died in the flooding. about 60,000 buildings were damaged. so far, more than 100,000 people have applied for federal assistance. commitment 2016, hillary clinton taking to late night tv to talk about her health. the eyeopener's erika tarantal is tracking new developments from the campaign trail. erika: and the democrat has one word for claims that she's physically unfit for the white house.

fbi investigation. the department says the communications contain both personal and work-related material. a conservative legal group wants the emails released. earlier this summer, the justice department accepted the fbi recommendation not to press criminal charges against clinton. randy: with restoration work underway in the massachusetts senate chamber, state senators will be doing business in another part of the historic building. when the new term begins in january, senators will be meeting in the gardner room at the state house. serious deterioration in the senate chamber is being corrected. new this morning, the new head of the embattled boston latin school is spelling out plans to address concerns in the classroom. an investigation found school leaders failed to address six complaints about racial incidents forcing the headmaster to resign. returning long time headmaster michael contompasis says teachers will undergo targeting

emily: police now say some of the animals found dead on a westport farm died of starvation. more than 1,000 animals were taken from the site earlier this month many of them dead, injured and mistreated. investigators are pouring over evidence found at the farm including 17,000 photos. no one has been charged. right now police are investigating after an 70-year-old lowell woman is struck and killed by p truck in a school parking lot. it happened just before 11:30 yesterday morning at the murkland school. police now identifying the victim as claudia normandin. they say the driver was pulling out of a parking space when the woman was struck. the driver stayed at the scene and is working with investigators. randy: this morning two people are facing charges accused of robbing a woman studying to be a nun robbing her of her rosary beads. the beads were in a small bag the thieves thought was a wallet. vanessa young and her partner

woman is sexually assaulted at knifepoint. the suspect rode up on a bike on claremont street early yesterday morning and forced the victim to the carter playground where she was attacked. and right now president obama is getting ready to head to louisiana. he'll tour storm damage after historic flooding in the baton rouge area. emily, randy? emily: right now, we're learning new details about a deadly accident involving a party bus in east boston. randy: the eye's doug meehan is there this morning with what the victim's family is now saying. it's still unclear exactly what led to two women falling out of the party bus. but one of the victim's families is now questioning the company's story. the family says 27-year-old tracy paniagua, who fell into the window early sunday morning, and it popped open, dumping her and another woman onto the street. but the bus company says the women were likely trying to open it because it requires significant pressure.

jumped back over the bar, put the helmet on the chair, stayed calm, took his jersey off, covered the helmet with it, and casually walked out. emily: that helmet was signed by the entire team. stranger still the restaurant manager says the suspect called the next day, admitted his crime and said he'd fedex the helmet back to them, because he felt bad. they're still waiting. randy: right now a worcester man is behind bars charged with shooting and killing his neighbor. it happened on hamilton street last night. police say 42-year-old jacinto maldonado was lying on the ground arms apart waiting for officers when they arrived. the victim was found on the front lawn. it's not clear what started the dispute. right now, a toddler found unresponsive in a lowell pool is improving. but a 3-year-old boy also pulled out of the water saturday night remains in critical condition. it happened at a home on freda lane. the circumstances surrounding

yesterday morning at the murkland school. police say a driver was pulling out of a parking space, striking 70-year-old claudia normandin. the driver did stay at the scene. randy: a california judge under fire for the stanford university rate case has recused himself in another trial. judge aaron persky was criticized for handing down a light sentence to convicted rapist brock turner. he was scheduled to rule on reducing a child porn conviction in another case. with the court saying some people may doubt that he can be impartial. emily: virginia's governor restores voting rights to 13,000 felons. governor terry mcauliffe made the announcement yesterday nearly a month after the attempt was blocked by the state's supreme court. the court ruled the governor could only reinstate voting rights on a case-by-case basis not en masse. the governor says his office processed each felon's paperwork
