we want to show you some surveillance video from just over a year ago. june, 2015. this showed the confrontation in a parking lot just outside a cvs. the suspect, usaamah raim, lunged at officers with military-style knife and that's when he was shot. usaamah raim had been under surveillance. investigators say he was in direct communication with isis and had planned attack the day he was killed. he was talking about attacking officers. >> the evidence gathered and analyzed during the course of the past year proved beyond a reasonable doubt, that mr. usaamah raim was armed with a large military style knife and posed a threat of death or serious bodily injury to the task force officers at the time of the shooting.

four or five armed law enforcement agents who spread out in a military like formation, surrounding him. >> that reaction from the usaamah raim family attorney. what you're seeing is new video that investigators released. that is suspect usaamah raim walking into a cvs. you can see a cord dangling out of his pocket. that cord was used to secure his knife, just moments after see him in this cvs, that everything unfolded. you heard reaction from his family. they feel this a warrant should have been secured before they approached the man but police say the plans had just changed that morning they they had to step in because an attack was imminent. >> thank you.

have attack a college, the american university of afghanistan, which is in kubel. mary is at our breaking news desk with more. >> militants killed at least one person,security guard, and 18 others were wounded, including a foreign teacher. it involves specialist 70s and gunfire. it happened around 7:00 as many students were attending night classes or gathering for dinner. this is a private university that opened in the faculty is mostly western and courses for the university's 1,200 students are taught in english. a troughfer was in the classroom with 15 other students when he said he heard an explosion. when he went to the window to see what was happening a man shot at him and shattered the window. moments later grenades were thrown in. security forces are still combing the campus in search of attackers. this is the second attack on this university this month.

we'll show you what's also happening in the tropical moisture iraqi. we've got two systems we're keeping a careful eye on. gas strong is the tropical storm close to hurricane strength and should reach hurricane strength. right now the conditions are borderline but down the road will probably become favorable, so that particular storm, looks like it stays farther out but might make, not a close pass to bermuda but not that far off to the east. five days from now. of greater potential concern for united states is this system. these are all the different models showing how that system will move. one of the questions is how much will it develop? right now it's a united states is this tropical wave. not quite tropical storm strength. it will grow at least into a tropical storm in the days ahead taking a track toward the southeastern bahamas and possibly somewhere near south florida. and into the gulf. there is a pretty good cluster
